At CPAC, Rand Paul, Marco Rubio take shots at Mitt Romney, John McCain

Source: Washington Post

The future of the Republican Party took some shots at its recent past on Thursday, as two top 2016 White House hopefuls made a conspicuous effort to distance themselves from the past two GOP presidential nominees.

Speaking to activists at the Conservative Political Action Conference at National Harbor, Sens. Rand Paul (Ky) and Marco Rubio (Fla) offered sharp, and only slightly veiled, critiques of Mitt Romney and John McCain, the two most recent men to carry the party standard in presidential elections.

“The GOP of old has grown stale and moss-covered,” Paul said. “I don’t think we need to name any names here, do we?”

Although Paul didn’t mention McCain by name, the reference was clear after McCain last week labeled Paul and other members of the new generation of conservative Republicans “wacko birds.”

I hate all these tape worms equally and hope the infighting weakens their already weak dreams of corporate fascism .

They're just younger. That's all. They still preach the same outdated nonsense that the country has moved beyond. The GOP, being a pack of ignorant racists, seem to believe people would vote for Marco simply because he isn't white. They still don't get that it's what a candidate stands for that matters, not the color of their skin.

The younger crew is much further to the right than either McCain or Romney which is the direction that the freeper types want to turn. They've learned absolutely nothing from 2012 - that suits me just fine. You would think they would have learned something by serving up sarah thinking women would swap one uterus for another but no, they're just plain stupid.

A person can have Hispanic background, and still be white. Just look at Argentina.
Hispanics come in all colors. This often gets confused in the media, though, where they group it together with various racial groups whenever discussing racial topics. That is what misleads many people (like my family) to think that it is a separate race.

That passes for logic in Republican circles. Voters rejected their extremism and stupidism. So they go MORE extreme and MORE stupid, rather than coming back to reasonableness.

On the TV show Criminal Minds they would say these sociopaths are "degenerating quickly."

if they keep it, up, the next thing you know they will be calling for the Impeachment of W. and Cheney.

Actually, I think the first backstabbing sociopath over there willing to throw that whole crew under the bus will be the first REAL challenge to the Democratic Party since 2006. But that might take another 10 years of them getting their asses kicked. Theyre slow learners over there...
