David Gregory re-ups as 'Meet the Press' host

Source: AP

By FRAZIER MOORE | Associated Press – 21 mins ago

NEW YORK (AP) — David Gregory has re-upped as host of "Meet the Press." NBC News shared no details, but described the new deal as "a long-term commitment."

"What a great vote of confidence from NBC," a pleased-looking Gregory said Thursday. He said his first four years in the moderator's chair have passed quickly. "In some ways, it feels like we're just getting started," he said.

The 42-year-old Gregory began as host of the Sunday morning public-affairs program in December 2008, succeeding the late Tim Russert. Before that, he was Chief White House correspondent during the presidency of George W. Bush. He joined NBC News in 1995.

Gregory is only the 10th permanent host of "Meet the Press," which premiered in 1947 and continues as the longest-running program on network television.

Just terrible NBC...

Highly experienced television execs think this is a good idea..

NBC deserves to continue its ratings plummet..

...and so many viewers recognize that in him -- it's definitely a low ratings factor.

Americans are sick and tired of listening Republican spin such as Gregory serves up weak after weak.

Meet the Press is unwatchable and David Gregory is a lapdog of the republican party. I'll never forget seeing him in a restaurant with Karl Rove laughing together like good buddies. Then and there I knew David was no partial journalist.

What a waste of airtime.

Maybe the Toiler Paper Brothers are fronting the money for the "show."

Good night and no luck for the ratings---

And he sucks as a moderator of MTP...NBC would be better if they made Gregory the Nightly News Host, and put Brian Williams on MTP...They made the switch w/Leno and O'Brien, should do same here....

and lost the cognitive powers to do complex equations, write and perform music, create abstract paintings.
At the time i blamed my failing vision and falling testosterone,in truth my dogma was run over by my own karma.

How is it even remotely possible that this POS and Tom Delay are dancing on television instead of being the prison bitches they so richly deserve to be in some god forsaken Siberian Gulag?
And then there is David Gregory who is an even bigger corporate whore than Timmer Russert(grumbles incomprehensibly in aggravation).

There can be only one explanation;god has taken his/her own life prompted by the failure of the neo-cons to assimilate the middle east.

does anyone really watch that POS show any more. I stopped when Timmy Russert may he rest in ...) gave Cheney free reign and the full hour to promote the war on Iraq.

I was done. Never looked back, never watched again. I prefer music and gardening on Sunday mornings. My blood pressure does, too.

Not that I watch, but when will a impartial host ever get one of the Sunday shows. I am sick and tired of the John McCain, Huckleberry Graham and Newt Gingrich show every Sunday morning on every channel. Where are Bernie Sanders, Nancy Pelosi, etc on the Sunday shows.
