WASHINGTON (CNN) —In personal and biting terms, House Speaker John Boehner argued that President Obama's failure to find agreement with Republicans is a result of his lack of "courage" and "guts" to do what it takes.

"To do the kind of heavy lifting that needs to be done, I don't think he's got the guts to go do it," Boehner told a group of television reporters and anchors in a breakfast ahead of the president's State of the Union address.

He even doubled down on that accusation, when pressed.

"He doesn't have the courage to take on the liberal side of his own party. I'm sorry but it's just clear as a bell to me," said Boehner.

10. In 1936 FDR's projects were lifting the economy out of the great depression but ....

.... he listened to the Republicans' worry about the size of the debt and pulled back in
on Government spending which put the economy back into a depression ..... Boner and
republicans know that if they force Obama and the dems to cut back spending in order
to help the debt they economy will shrink and then they will blame Obama for all the
people who get hurt. Social Security (which has never added one dime to the debt),
medicare, and medicare stimulate the economy because those dollars roll over and
over in local economies which in turn stimulates the economy.

We spend more then the next 26 countries in the world on defense combined .... 25 of
which are not hostile to us ..... you want to cut spending that is the place to start.

Bill Clinton left a surplus and a growing economy but that unelected turd W turned it
into a huge deficit and helped to crash the economy ...... Obama is trying to clean
up that mess and the only thing the republicans have done is to obstruct everything
that they can.

Man even my conservative friends admit they don't like him as president but he has guts Boehner is just an idiot. Any president that was able to pass healthcare reform, be the first president EVER to do something for gay rights, order Bin Laden's death ( when there was a chance he wasn't even in that compound), got republicans to vote on raising taxes for the first time in decades, the auto bailout ( which in case no one remembers his own advisers were against it at first), etc. has some guts.

I used to work with a guy who drank all the time and he smelled awful even though I knew he showered everyday. That said Boner has a lot of nerve saying the President has no guts and courage considering he cries at the drop of the hat. I think there is some projection going on. Boner can't even control his caucus to vote on his bills. No matter what these asshats say they are slowly making themselves irrelevant and their fate will be in the dust pan of history forgotten mostly only remembered for being the crying drunk speaker with no legislative accomplishments.
