Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) on Thursday continued his sharp criticism of Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's testimony regarding the September attack on the U.S. diplomatic mission in Benghazi, Libya, primarily directing his ire to her fiery exchange with Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI).
Clinton on Wednesday flashed anger toward Johnson's line of questions on the Obama administration's initial characterization of the attack. McCain said Clinton's response to Johnson "stunning."
"Her response to Sen. Johnson about whether it was a spontaneous demonstration or not, saying it 'didn't matter.' It didn't matter how these people died. That was stunning," McCain said during an interview on "Fox & Friends." "That was really stunning. Of course it matters. It matters for a whole lot of reasons, including to the families and Americans, because the American people deserve to be told the truth and they were not told the truth."
Clinton did not actually use the words "didn't matter." Instead, she asked Johnson, "What difference, at this point, does it make? During the interview, McCain also accused the administration of engaging in a "cover up" following the attack and suggested that the "adoring media" will protect Clinton and the White House by shifting attention away from the issue.
"Well, it's not over for the families of those who have sacrificed needlessly in my view and it's not over because we are not changing our policies because we let this happen in Libya and it continues to happen," McCain said.

Very famous for a failed mission in wartime. (And he had been allowed to destroy a series of very expensive aircraft because of his daddy's high rank in the military.)

If ANYONE wants to see what passes for "integrity" with this idiot - they need look no further than how he's treated prior wives. Then adjust your attitudes accordingly. Heh - this jerk still stands by his good pal, Sarah Palin! What should THAT say about his judgement???

(5,732 posts)After the Bush crime family destroyed the country, I don't think any republican really wanted to follow that act and take the blame for the condition of this nation. He didn't have the balls to step into the Presidency in the condition this country was in at the time.
