Liz Cheney says she is voting for Harris for president

Source: CNN

Republican former Rep. Liz Cheney will vote for Vice President Kamala Harris in November, she said during remarks at Duke University, according to audio obtained by CNN.

“As a conservative, as someone who believes in and cares about the Constitution, I have thought deeply about this, and because of the danger that Donald Trump poses, not only am I not voting for Donald Trump, but I will be voting for Kamala Harris,” the former Wyoming congresswoman said Wednesday, noting the importance of voting for Harris in battleground states like North Carolina.

Cheney previously said she is committed to doing what’s necessary to stop the former president from returning to the White House.

This is a breaking story and will be updated.

She, in the recent past, accused Democrats of murdering babies after they are born.

Fuck her and really wish she would go away.

Donald Trump is a common enemy to people of the sane persuasion, ideological differences notwithstanding. The threats he poses to democracy and global stability cannot be overstated. I applaud Liz Cheney for being 100% correct in her commitment to do whatever is necessary to keep Trump out of the White House. If future events have her returning to the GOP conservative mainstream and running for office under that banner, I would certainly oppose her candidacy. But for now, she "gets" it, and that is a good thing. Hopefully more in her party will come around in the weeks ahead. For reasons that are well-understood, a popular vote majority bolstered by overwheming Democratic enthusiasm may not be adequate, and the Harris-Walz margin of victory will likely be assured by disproportionate support from independent voters as well as Republican crossovers. Again, we need them to win and should seek out and welcome their support, even if it is of a temporary nature.
