Beverly Crest fatal shooting: 3 dead 4 critical, police say no suspect information
Source: CBS Los Angeles
Los Angeles Police Department Sgt., Bruce Borihanh provided updates on the Beverly Crest fatal Saturday morning shooting that left three people dead and four wounded; two critically. The suspect remains unknown and at large. Around 2:40 a.m. police received a call of "an assault with a deadly weapon." in the 2700 block of Ellison Dr. When officers arrived at the scene, they found multiple people suffering from gunshot wounds. Three of those shot were pronounced dead at the scene. Two of the surviving gunshot victims drove themselves to a medical center and were then transported to a trauma care hospital, while the other surviving two gunshot wound victims were transported by paramedics at the scene directly to a trauma care hospital. Of the total four gunshot wound victims, two are in critical condition while two are stable, according to Borihanh. The ages and genders of those who died are not being released yet. The coroner will release that information in due time. Read more: https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/crime/beverly-crest-fatal-shooting-3-dead-4-critical-police-say-no-suspect-information/ar-AA16Qusk

4. Some male shot up a party in a Bougie area in the hills above Beverly Hills
This didn't happen at some anonymous person's house. This will be a big story.

8. VRBO type rental? Those get to be party houses in some places -- to the great annoyance of neighbors

7. That's a neighborhood of $2.5 million homes
in Benedict Canyon. Many of them were built in the '60's.
And then there are the newer replacement houses like this one that sold for $7.75 million in 2016. https://www.redfin.com/CA/Beverly-Hills/2787-Ellison-Dr-90210/home/6833848 And its neighboring house that sold for $9.2 million last summer. https://www.redfin.com/CA/Beverly-Hills/2791-Ellison-Dr-90210/home/6833847 |

11. And one of these homes gets rented out as a party hall?
That's some strange business plan. I'm sure the neighbors are delighted.

12. There are some really expensive homes available on VRBO
One I saw in Italy stated that for an extra cost, you could have a chef, driver, and/or a butler.

13. Chef, driver, and butler are beyond my ususal vacation budget. ...
... but so are bartender, bouncer, deejay, and armorer.
I'm guessing this house is owned by some real estate trust, maybe based in a foreign country. Or it's involved in some sort of money laundering scheme. It can't be owned by someone who cares about the home. ![]() |

14. Many vrbos are owned by people who don't actually live there
It's not their main home.
Of the nine rental places in my little hometown, only 4 are owned by people who live in town and only one is the primary residence of the owner. |
