Cold Wave, Carbon Monoxide Poisoning Cause Over 100 Deaths in Afghanistan

More than 100 people in 15 provinces have died of exposure to severe cold weather and carbon monoxide poisoning over the past two weeks, the State Ministry for Disaster Management reported. 2. There but for the grace of... Afghanistan's said to in many ways
still be in the 14th century. Poor Europeans and Americans were once freezing when they ran out of fuel in a bad winter, not that long ago either, up to less than a couple hundred years ago.
As my husband and I relax in comfort oblivious to the cold outside, I'm hoping Afghanistan's extra cold winter would have happened anyway without global warming, because our nation is heavily responsible for the latter. |

3. Recall the poor Afghans clinging to USAF
planes trying to escape when the Kabul Regime fell apart.
...just like the Vietnamese trying to escape by clinging to US Army helicopters in Saigon, 30 April 1975. And both countries today are environmental disasters, although Vietnam's economy is functioning pretty well. |
