Kevin McCarthy wants to block three Democrats from committees if he becomes House speaker
Source: USA Today VIA AOL
House Republican leader Kevin McCarthy served further notice Sunday that his potential speakership will be politically volatile, saying he will try to keep three high-profile Democrats off of certain committees. Democrats said McCarthy will do whatever his right wing wants him to do because he still lacks the votes to land the speaker's job. In stumping for the position, McCarthy has targeted Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., a member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee; and Reps. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., and Eric Swalwell, D-Calif., members of the House Intelligence Committee. McCarthy and other Republicans have for months said these members' past statements and actions regarding issues like Israel, China and Russia should keep them off these committees. "I'll keep that promise" to remove them, McCarthy told Fox News' "Sunday Morning Futures." 1. McCarthy
is doing what he is being told to do, by Q members like MTG and getting coached by Stephen Miller.
McCarthy has sold his soul to the devils. |

17. Why do you suppose that Herr Miller is not in the Hague being done for crimes against Humanity???
Why does he walk free and influence Congress?
Surely his contributions to TLG's policies were actually in writing? |

4. In standing committees it's not up to him
He’s obviously tossing them to the lions to soothe his base.
Those three have more to add to committees than the whole pitiful clown show on the right |

9. Majority vote of the full House
With such a narrow majority, they would have to be nearly unanimous as a caucus to do it. They won't get 11 from our side the way we did with MTG last year.

11. Thanks.
I agree he would have difficulty getting the votes. Especially to deny committee membership to the people he is talking about. I actually think the group of cats he is herding will be impossible to unify for a vote on what day of the week it is. As it is it appears he is having to promise some people the moon just to get elected Speaker.

13. He only needs a vote for Omar
He can unilaterally remove people from Intelligence.
There were quite a few Democrats who were critical of Omar's comments re: Israel. We're going to lose a few members on each committee anyway... so perhaps the caucus will dodge the issue by putting her somewhere else. |

7. The House Intelligence Committee isn't a standing committee
It's permanent... but still a "select" committee.

12. When ya don't know how to lead, govern or manage money
You step to the microphone and prove it. Dems will have Kevin babbling by June “threatening” to resign and thinking about going home to his district where crime is as high as Lauren Boebert on a Rocky Mountain love fest with her penis wielding husband. Is Margie divorced yet? Is moe
brooks still kicking ass and taking names? Is gym Jordan longing for the days when he showered with college boys? Has Mike pence hired anyone to find his spine? Has bob barr won an academy award yet? Is Hakeem Jeffries waiting patiently in the wings? Ok Kevin and the clowns, it’s almost time to rock and roll. I’m feeling good about the next Congress. |

16. It's not just about them, it's about the whole mafia style of rule of men they've adopted. A man
was their party platform. That's the basis of it all. It's not about governing. It's about favors and payback. It's about macho exercise of autocratic power, how they're now paying back their corporate owner/donors as loyal, useful tools to keep the tax money transfer and favors trickling up to their owner/donors. It's their corporate treadmill of keeping their jobs for the bosses more than doing their jobs for any losers back home.
It's mafia theater scripted for literal madmen. |

18. IMO Kevin and the whole MAGA Mafia are taking on way more than they can deliver.
I don't think the majority of their voters actually want a nothing doing Congress. Imagine how they'll look the next time a hurricane, flood, or other natural disaster strikes their home districts. With no genuine plans for constructive governing and no partnership to depend on for legislative action what will they do?
Will their financial patrons bail their districts out? Will their Dark Money lords arrange an alignment of the planets in their favor? |
