List of 49 Republicans Who Voted Against Food Security Help for Veterans

Source: Newsweek

The House of Representatives passed a bill to establish an Office of Food Security at the Department of Veterans Affairs, with 49 Republicans voting against the proposal.

The Food Security for All Veterans Act was passed by a 376-49 vote, sending the bill to the Senate for approval.

The legislation, introduced by Democratic Rep. Mary Peltola, aims to establish a department to assist veterans facing food insecurity and lack of nutrition, such as providing them with information about food stamps and other programs.

Speaking on the House floor to advocate for what was her fist bill, Peltola said Alaska's high veteran population motivated her to push for the introduction of the department.

3. 5 Floridians

On this list. And they now demand 100 percent reimbursement for Ian relief, along with a Gov that denied help for Sandy storm for New York and New Jersey. Every veteran needs to know every name on this list. Especially those that are in their district. Gaetz and Green, do nothing for anybody but billionaires.
Last night house passed a bill for Mental Health funding for schools to combat school shootings. The same mental health GQP say are the killers, not guns. 200+ GQP voted no. 1 supported it. It passed because of Dem majority.
GQP are useless, and take the salaries and bribes.
Shoot the children. Big deal, freedom.

28. Replying to "Look at how many were involved in the insurrection"

Most Republicans consistently remind me with their nefarious, uncaring policies and their role in the insurrection as rotten fruit. So rotten they are rotten to the core.

5. First of all,

I would like to wish Rep. Peltola all the best as she begins her term as a U.S. Congressional Representative. It is nice to see her hit the ground running and pushing forward action to help veterans in need.

Once again the GQP shows that they don't give f**k one about veterans except when they can be of use to help them get re-elected. I see the usual suspects like Gaetz, Gosar, Gohmert, Greene, Roy, and Jordan but I noted Dan Crenshaw's name on the list. Isn't he always touting his military service? So why would he turn his back on fellow vets in need?

Veterans need to take note of these votes against them and remember come election time.

11. Matt Rosendale, Montana. From a state with a significant veteran population who are

mostly GOP voters, along with their kids, grandkids, and spouses, AND this guy votes against them. More than 12% of the population. With millions in Federal benefits making up a sizable portion of state revenues and cash spent in local town and county economies.

They support the police and other law enforcement officers but they support the insurrection because DJT.

They support veterans but they can't support seeing that they don't go hungry.

It's time that their Democratic Party election opponents start calling them out.

They are not in Washington to govern. They are there to object and obstruct until their party is in control. Unfortunately, my congressman is on this list. I will never vote for him.
