Maher wrote that Mitt Romney pivoted to the middle after the GOP primaries more so than other politicians have in the past, and he critiqued a Michele Bachmann campaign ad in which the tea party star called herself an independent voice.
Wow.
Im just saying. When even Michele Bachmann cant run as a proud Republican, your brand identification has reached pink slime territory, Maher wrote, referring to the processed food additive that created a consumer uproar.
As for Romney, Maher wrote: Mitt Romney lost because of the Republican brand and Republican policies.

The host of HBOs Real Time with Bill Maher added: There are other reasons, of course, like, Mitt being unlovable to anyone not named Ann Romney, but nothing trumps the idea that 2/3rds of America thinks the other 1/3 is a frightening conglomerate of Bible-thumpers, xenophobes and vaginophobes. (Not a word, but should be.)
