Senate G.O.P. Campaign Arm Slashes TV Ad Buys in Three States

Source: New York Times

The Republicans’ Senate campaign committee has slashed its television ad reservations in three critical battleground states for the fall, a likely sign of financial troubles headed into the peak of the 2022 midterm election season.

The National Republican Senatorial Committee has cut more than $5 million in Pennsylvania, including its reservations in the Philadelphia media market, according to two media-tracking sources.

Reservations in Wisconsin, in the Madison and Green Bay markets, have also been curtailed, by more than $2 million. And in Arizona, all reservations after Sept. 30 have been cut in Phoenix and Tucson, the state’s only two major media markets, amounting to roughly $2 million more.

So far around $10 million had been canceled as of midday Monday, though more changes to the fall reservations were in progress. The states where ad reservations have been canceled are home to three of the nation’s most competitive Senate contests.

My concern is that Peter Thiel's dark money will be paying for all the advertising for Masters, which would free up the Party funds.

and never include in calculations

GOP can afford to drop ad expenses - they get a lot of free support on the radio and just ramp up their think tank operatives visits to those radio stations for FREE ad time targeted directly to dittoheads/teabags/trumpers

PA? penn state supports 11 x Limbaugh stations. they endorse dan bongino, the guy who inherited about half or limbaugh's 600 stations, who was screaming about 'deep state'! today. if penn GOP would pay $1000 for a one hr infomercial, 11 stations x 15hrs/day x $1000 is worth $825,000 / week free to the GOP.

that's happening all over the country and even if they spend diddly dems still lose no brainers (like global warming) to a few hundred ignorant racist blowhards on 1500 coordinated radio stations year after year. GOP TV media campaigns just piggyback all that free ubiquitous repetition.

and ron johnson? university of wisconsin uses their athletes to endorse that dumbass on 3 x-limbaugh stations.

AZ is also a rw radio state

Their candidates aren't raising money (because they're shitty candidates)...but the RNC and the RSCC are. So those two committees are having to make up for the candidates' lack of funds. They've been "wasting" money in those areas for a while, trying to boost Oz in PA, Vance in OH, and RonAnon in WI (although, he can self-fund). The RSCC never really gave the whackadoodle in AZ a chance, since he's so far out there.

At this point, they're basically writing off PA, OH and AZ, and possibly WI. Here in NC, the polls are basically tied, so they're for sure going to be dumping a shit ton of money into negative ads against Sherri Beasley to try and salvage Ted Budd. Florida, with Val Demmings and Marco Rubio (R-Thirsty The Dwarf) could be the same situation as here in NC.

Basically, Rick "The Dick" Scott (R-Bat Boy) is shitting his pants right now, trying to figure out how to salvage this situation. And Moscow Mitch McConnell (R-Yertle The Turtle) is probably plotting ways to kill the "sumbitch", since Ricky came up with their "platform" to kill SS, Medicare & Medicaid, and saddled the Turtle with this disaster...just as he was getting ready to buy a new "Majority Leader" plaque for his office! 😂

Just read this morning that the RSCC is actually having money troubles and the DSCC has outraised them by double.

Also, the RSCC has now canceled ad buys in a fourth state, Nevada. However, they’ve made new ad buys in Colorado and Washington state, of all places. Their candidates have never been closer than 5 points in either place and the latest poll in WA had Patty Murray up by 20. 🤷?♂️

This news only confirms my predictions.

Republicans looks to be in trouble in messaging, polling, and fund raising. Pulling ads shows all of this.

Why doesn't he help finance the Trump party's candidates? He's not doing anything with it.

You'd think he'd want to get that Congressional Trump party majority all ready for himself after he cruises to victory in 2024.
