Two Twitter leaders are leaving after Musk's deal to buy the company.

Two of Twitter’s leaders are leaving as part of a shake-up of top executives, according to an internal memo shared with employees on Thursday, as the company grapples with a takeover from Elon Musk, the world’s richest man. Kayvon Beykpour, Twitter’s general manager, is leaving and will be replaced by Jay Sullivan, according to the memo, which was obtained by The New York Times.

Mr. Sullivan is currently the interim general manager of the consumer product. Bruce Falck, Twitter’s general manager for revenue, is also departing the company. “It’s critical to have the right leaders at the right time,” Parag Agrawal, chief executive of Twitter, said in the memo to staff. Mr. Sullivan’s “product vision, ability to inspire, move quickly and drive change is what Twitter needs now, and in the future.”

The memo said Twitter was also pausing most new hiring and pulling back on discretionary spending, though the company is not currently planning layoffs. Part of this stems from the company’s not hitting goals in audience and revenue growth, Mr. Agrawal wrote.

Twitter has been in an uproar since Mr. Musk struck a deal last month to buy the social media service for $44 billion. The billionaire, who also runs the electric carmaker Tesla and the rocket company SpaceX, has said he will take Twitter private and wants to improve the product. He has criticized some of Twitter’s top executives publicly, especially for the way that they have moderated speech on the service.

3. It'll fall like cryptocurrency in a matter of months.

Once mass bans of liberals and other non-conservatives begin to occur, it'll end up being Lord of the Flies and unreadable.

And a lot of it is already unreadable.

4. *crossing fingers*

I won't be sticking around. No need to ban me from Twitter.

In fact, depending on what the new terms that go into effect 6/10 say, I may be leaving earlier.

5. I have no social media presence - mostly because I'm 99% sure I'd lose my job

after 5 posts.

I have a faulty filter in public and am 100% certain it would be worse on Twitter. My daughter, while laughing along with me, agrees I'd be homeless after a weekend on Twitter.

6. Once the un-American pos becomes owner quit. Kill it off.

Musk is a racist and un-American fascist pos. He clearly hates democracy. Musk's posting against USA and how he treats his workers.

7. The People Who Make Twitter Interesting

They aren’t the type that hang around with people like Musk and his orange-faced hero. Come to think of it, neither am I. I’ll go to whether those people are and avoid sponsors of Twitter ads.

I vote, but also with my feet and business patronage. I won’t attend a Musk chat room, nor buy anything advertised on his propaganda network.
