Obama rally draws 23,000 in Hollywood, Fla.

HOLLYWOOD President Barack Obama made his closing argument to South Florida voters Sunday afternoon, asking a sprawling crowd estimated at 23,000 to help him secure a second term in the White House.
"We made real progress the past four years
," Obama said, adding that more work remains. "As long as there is a single American who wants a job and can't find one, our work is not done."
Speaking at McArthur High School's football stadium in Hollywood, Obama continued to pledge his administration's support to help the victims of Hurricane Sandy.
But his remarks largely focused on Tuesday's presidential election.

Where are they getting numbers thought it was 30,000

(6,854 posts)That's because the GOP convention was held at Tampa Bay Times forum, and the TBT also had a GOP convention countdown clock on their own newspaper homepage.
They are likely intentionally underestimating the crowd size.
