Virginia woman charged for threatening to bring guns to school over mask mandate

Source: Axios

A Virginia woman was charged Friday with making an oral threat on school property when she said at a school board meeting that she would show up with loaded guns if her children were required to wear masks at schools, according to the local police department.

Driving the news: "My children will not come to school on Monday with a mask on," Amelia King, 42, told the school board. "Alright? That's not happening. And I will bring every single gun loaded and ready to... I will call every..."

After King was interrupted for going over her allotted time, she replied, "I'll see y'all on Monday."

A magistrate released King on a $5,000 unsecured bond, according to the Luray Police Department.

will teach her to not mouth off like this, threatening others during the process, but somehow, I doubt it. People who mouth off like this are prone to mouth off again and again and again and ...

We've all known people like this, they seemingly never learn the value of simply being quiet or not mouthing off.

She absolutely messed up and deserved to be charged. But when she calmed down she did a good job of explaining herself. She does not actually own any guns. She was trying to say she was going to fight the mask mandate with everything she could, protests, phone call campaigns, legal action, etc. The gun thing was a terrible metaphor that will cost her dearly.

despite the unlawful use of violence and intimidation, especially against civilians, in the pursuit of political aims.

I'm sick of people like that on ANY level
And how the hell can she claim "just a metaphor" when she plainly said "bring every gun I have"?

Uncivilized, rude, crude—and just plain stupid. Not one child has ever died from wearing a mask, though several children and hundreds of thousands of adults have died from the Covid that masks help protect against. Parents like this need to be prosecuted for child abuse by subjecting kids to a dangerous illness by forbidding them to wear masks.

with LEO backup, need to start checking on those children.

She doesn’t appear adult enough, thinking wise to have possession of children.

but, she is further evidence that those who occupy the right wing of politics are bullies and cowards. Selfish, petty and short sighted. Are they all just gullible fools? It seems so.
