Drop in childhood vaccinations during pandemic may raise risk of outbreaks of other diseases
Source: Washington Post
Routine childhood vaccinations dropped dramatically during the early months of the pandemic, and although those began rebounding last summer, many children and adolescents are still behind on shots, according to a federal health report released Thursday.
That lag might pose a serious public health threat of outbreaks of vaccine-preventable illnesses such as measles and whooping cough that have the potential to derail efforts to reopen schools, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
With health-care systems and other social institutions already overburdened by the pandemic, CDC is recommending that health-care providers consider giving covid-19 vaccines on the same day as other vaccines, especially when children and teens are behind or in danger of falling behind on recommended shots. The CDC changed its guidance last month to allow for coronavirus vaccinations and other shots to be given at the same time.
The data from 10 jurisdictions provide further evidence of the pandemics impact on routine childhood and adolescent vaccination rates that were documented last year as parents around the country canceled well-child checkups to avoid coronavirus exposure.

if maga-deplore world wants to go without medical treatments because the microchips make them magnetic, it's fine with me. You cannot expect to stop them anyway.

so when a few unvaccinated people get together in a community, religious service, household, etc. everyone gets sick fast.
