NC could see heated presidential race

Raleigh, N.C. — Even though the presidential election is months away, a political ad attacking President Barack Obama is already running on North Carolina airwaves.

The minute-long ad, "Obama Sacrifices Pawns for Politics," is part of a $1 million statewide campaign by Americans for Prosperity, which started running the ad Monday and is expected to run it up until the president's State of the Union address next week.

Gary Pearce, a Democratic political consultant, said it's likely the first of such ads by independent, or third-party groups, that will run in the state over the next 10 months since North Carolina will be key in determining the next president.

"Get used to it. We're a battleground state," Pearce said.

Saw that ad tonight ... its lame ... if you hate Obama already, you will like it ... but it is so convoluted, that no one who does not follow politics will 'get it" ... even if it was true.

Are the nc fundies I know voting for a mormon. They think they're of the devil. Idol worshippers. Followers of a false prophet. And most definitely do NOT consider them "Christian". They just won't vote.

Home of the southern baptst seminary that started the baptst fundamentalist/inerrancy mvt.

I was a homeschooling mom on groups with quite a few (understatement) fundies from many different denominations. They hated Mormons. Every single one. Catholics weren't far behind in the south.

Then I moved to wisconsin. I never knew there were fundie Catholics too!

I was born in ga. Grew up in al & ky. Lived in sc too.have relatives al over the south. Nearly all religious types. Hell even the non fundie ones think Mormons are of the devil...
