WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Republicans in Congress have until the end of May to negotiate provisions of an infrastructure bill before Democrats opt to move sweeping legislation on their own, one of U.S. President Joe Bidenís closest Senate allies predicted on Wednesday.

Democratic Senator Chris Coons of Bidenís home state of Delaware said several senior Senate Republicans had privately signaled they would support a package of up to $1 trillion that targets roads, bridges and other traditional infrastructure areas and includes some tax increases to pay for legislation.

But Biden and his fellow Democrats who narrowly control both houses of Congress will not wait long before deciding whether to move their own sweeping $2 trillion package forward without Republican support.

My question is why wait, every time the right wing is in power they didn't wait, just look at what they did to the courts.........

5. If the dems -really- think they...

...could get 10 Rep votes on infrastructure without too many compromises, then they could save "Reconciliation" for something else harder to pass.

Roads, bridges etc. have been in bad shape for so long, give Biden/Schumer a month to bring Reps along. There is a lot in the package Reps really do want. Lets see if Dems can pry them away from McTurtle.

6. Oh nice! So that gives them about 7 weeks to lie non-stop about the

bill. Just like they did with the ACŃ. The rubes in the media will happily play along. Because Lord Beelzebub knows they can't appear to be fair to the administration. Great plan. Between that and soon to be white supremacy enabler Manchin, we're off to a great start.....
