Barr speaks out against Trump, calls his conduct a 'betrayal of his office and supporters'
Source: ABC News
Former Attorney General Bill Barr, once one of President Trump's most loyal allies, is speaking out against his former boss in light of Wednesday's storming of the U.S. Capitol, saying in a statement that his conduct "was a betrayal of his office and supporters."
Orchestrating a mob to pressure Congress is inexcusable. The Presidents conduct yesterday was a betrayal of his office and supporters," he said in a statement to the Associated Press, which was obtained by ABC News.

(8,200 posts)This has been the goal of the group of Republican lawyers who are committed to the its establishment. His membership in the Federalist Society in which it is a primary requirement was the primary reason that he was chosen to be Attorney General. The bastard is now running for cover. I despise the bastard just as I despise today's Republicans who I consider to be traitors.

Barr, you stupid turdstool. You latched on to the poster boy for why your twisted little "interpretation" of our Constitution is fundamentally flawed.
Game, set, match.
And wait until Biden's DOJ gets finished with you, you cowardly nincompoop.
He helped get him to this point. Just because he bailed now doesnt undo the past

(121 posts)Bill Barr was one of Trump's chief enablers. He resigned only to save himself from criminal prosecution, so his credibility and sincerity are less than zero.

(35,817 posts)Makes sense doesn't it? This coup attempt didn't get thrown together overnight. There were a lot of people involved including Erik Prince's trained undercover ops. The Proud Boys had to be brought in from whatever caves they live in. It took at least of couple weeks to plan this, and Billy Barr must have heard about the plan in its early stages. He saw what a shit show it was going to be, and he said "Count me out."
