White House staff members will be among the first to be vaccinated.

Source: NYT

White House staff members who work in close quarters with President Trump have been told they are scheduled to receive injections of the coronavirus vaccine soon, at a time when the first doses of the vaccine are being distributed only to high-risk health care workers, according to two sources familiar with the distribution plans.

The goal of distributing the vaccine inside the West Wing is to prevent additional government officials from falling ill in the final weeks of the Trump administration. The hope is to eventually distribute the vaccine to everyone who works in the White House, but will begin with some of the most senior people who work around the president, one of the people said.

It is not clear how many doses are being allocated to the White House, or how many are needed. While many Trump officials said they were eager to receive the vaccine and would take it if it were offered, others said they were concerned it would send the wrong message by making it look like Trump staff members were hopping the line in order to protect a president who already had the virus and has bragged that he is now “immune.”

The first doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine left a facility in Michigan early Sunday, with UPS and FedEx teaming up to ship them to all 50 states for distribution. A White House spokesman did not respond to a request for comment.

Trump political appointees in the White House aren’t “essential workers”.

They will be there for a few weeks, and they aren’t working in the transition process. Better to send them home and change the locks on the door.

10. How dare those COVID denying, lying criminals push their way to the front of the line!

Senior White House staff thumbed their noses at COVID mitigation measures, going as far as to spread the disease like wildfire and they have the temerity to push to the front of the line, conveniently calling themselves essential workers?! They're stealing life-saving vaccinations from front line health care workers with their selfish bullshit!!!!
The only injections those murderers deserve are that of bleach and/or Lysol!

'Important' people would push to the front of the line.
So the order will be:

Trump and his family.
Anyone who works in the White House, including security people, kitchen staff, grounds people, cleaners.
Republican politicians, their spouses, family, girlfriends, etc.

Then:

Front line medical people. (If enough left)
Old folks in retirement homes. (ditto)
Anyone over 65. (ditto)

By that time, none left for you and me. Sorry, you need to wait.

Two doses per person, 300 million people, the first delivery won't go far. Or the second, or the third.

If you are not on the short list, you may get yours by Christmas. Christmas 2021, or 2022, that is.

I'm just hoping that production can be ramped up, and there are no problems with quality control or distribution.

Trump says he’s nixing plan for early vaccine at White House

By ZEKE MILLER
December 13, 2020

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump said Sunday that he was reversing an administration directive to vaccinate top government officials against COVID-19, while public distribution of the shot is limited to front-line health workers and people in nursing homes and long-term care facilities.

Trump made the announcement hours after his administration confirmed that senior U.S. officials, including some White House aides who work in close proximity to Trump and Vice President Mike Pence, would be offered coronavirus vaccines as soon as this week under federal continuity of government plans.

“People working in the White House should receive the vaccine somewhat later in the program, unless specifically necessary,” Trump said in a tweet. “I have asked that this adjustment be made. I am not scheduled to take the vaccine, but look forward to doing so at the appropriate time.”

It was not immediately clear what the scale of the vaccination program was supposed to be, according to two people briefed on the matter, or what effect Trump’s tweet would have on the government’s efforts to protect top leadership.

News that White House staff would receive the vaccine early drew criticism on social media. Trump and his aides have consistently flouted the COVID-19 guidelines issued by his own administration, including hosting large holiday parties with maskless attendees this December.

Isn't it interesting how his death cult members believe both that COVID is a hoax and that Trump had COVID and demonstrated his superhero strength by beating it?

Are they supposed to wait in line like the rest of us peasants?

I don't mind if the White House staff gets the shots early. As long as the Biden team is afforded the same special treatment.

The numbers shouldn't be big enough to affect the general rollout.
