Gov. Inslee orders sweeping restrictions on indoor gatherings, restaurants, bars
Source: Seattle Times
Social, economic and cultural life in Washington will grind to a halt at 11:59 p.m. Monday night, as Gov. Jay Inslee orders broad restrictions and shutdowns for restaurants, theaters, gyms and all indoor gatherings in an effort to slow the state’s burgeoning coronavirus epidemic.
Inslee, Sunday morning, ordered restaurants and bars to shutdown indoor service and to limit outdoor service to parties of five or less. Indoor gyms and fitness centers must also shutdown. Same with movie theaters, bowling alleys and museums. Indoor gatherings with people outside your household will be prohibited unless participants have quarantined and tested negative. “Today, Sunday, November 15, 2020, is the most dangerous public health day in the last 100 years of our state’s history,” Inslee said in prepared remarks. “A pandemic is raging in our state. Left unchecked, it will assuredly result in grossly overburdened hospitals and morgues; and keep people from obtaining routine but necessary medical treatment for non-COVID conditions.” The constraints on everyday life will be as extreme as anything the state has seen since Inslee issued an emergency stay-home order in March. 1. We're racing against the clock up here
My wife has a hand surgery scheduled across the river in Washington on Thursday. Having been off her NSAIDs for a week, I'm going she can get it done before they follow the least of our local hospital in Oregon and suspend elective surgeries.

are throwing hissy fits. On top of the election results, this is icing on the cake that has sent them over the edge.

4. One thing I didn't see, and hoped I did
Did he close the churches?
I know religion is extremely important to a lot of people...but "church service" and "superspreader event" are synonyms. Religion is going to have to go virtual for a few weeks while we get this damned pandemic under control. |

8. Inslee mentioned that Spokane hospitals are full because we are taking Idaho's overflow.
Assholes in Idaho don’t believe in the COVID,
![]() Seattle and Portland are also taking Idaho’s patients. |

10. Good luck. We're back to "shelter in place" for the next 2 weeks
in the hope that we won't completely overwhelm state medical facilities.
