Violence erupts between counter-protestors, Trump supporters following DC rally

Supporters of President Trump and counter-demonstrators clashed Saturday night after what was mostly a peaceful day of demonstrations in support of Trump and protesting the election results.

Violent clashes between Trump supporters and counter-protestors that were caught on tape by The Washington Post showed members from both sides lunging at one another. Objects can be seen in the footage being thrown in the air, and people are punching one another.

Trump on Saturday night weighed in on the situation, accusing DC Mayor Muriel Bowser (D) of not doing her job.

"Radical Left ANTIFA SCUM was easily rebuffed today by the big D.C. MAGA Rally crowd, only to return at night, after 99% of the crowd had left, to assault elderly people and families," he tweeted.

They are identical to the same people who supported Hitler's rise to power. I wonder just how my close relatives who gave their lives to fight the Nazis and Japanese imperialists would think about these ignoramuses. I miss all of them and especially, my beloved cousin Jim, a bomber navigator who was shot down and killed by the Nazis Hitler bootlickers. I was just a boy during the war, but I remember seeing the news reels of the screaming mobs supporting their ranting and raving madman. I have the same regard for the Japanese who tortured my father's best friend and thousands of other American soldiers.

If we ignore them and leave it up to these fools, they will lead us to the bloody conclusion.

I guess not. I keep thinking of the two guys wearing shirts saying, I would rather be a Russian than a Democrat. The ignorance is high in this country... looks like too many people slept though History class.

Why did counter protesters bother to show up? It only feeds the RW thirst for violence. Best to ignore them. Or at least just laugh at them and refuse to take them seriously. That annoys them much more than confronting them does. It cheats them of chance to play victim. What will they complain about? If they complain about being laughed at, they will only be laughed at even more for complaining

We need some laughter rallies.
