Loeffler unleashes onslaught against Warnock in Georgia race for Senate controlThis discussion thread was locked as off-topic by Omaha Steve (a host of the Latest Breaking News forum). Her campaign aired an ad this week questioning whether "this" America -- showing a classroom of young students saying the pledge of allegiance -- will still be America "if the radical left controls the Senate." The ad then shows images of mobs, flashes signs saying "defund the police" and plasters a quote from a 2015 sermon Warnock gave after a police officer in Ferguson, Missouri, killed Michael Brown, in which he said some officers have a "gangster and thug mentality."
Another Loeffler campaign ad attacks Warnock for honoring pastor Jeremiah Wright in 2008, even though five years earlier Wright gave a now infamous sermon defined by three words -- "God damn America." The attack is a callback to the 2008 presidential campaign, when then-Democratic candidate Barack Obama gave a pivotal speech on race relations in America after being criticized for his association with Wright. Warnock has said that Loeffler wants to divide Georgia, and distract from her opposition to the Affordable Care Act and the health care insurance it provides millions of people in the middle of a pandemic. "If you don't really have an agenda for working families, I guess you have to distract working families," said Warnock in Atlanta on Thursday. "I intend to stay focused on making sure that every Georgian has access to affordable health care, that workers share in some of the profits that they're creating and that they are able to retire with dignity." 1. Loeffler is a rich white woman in a vanity appointment.
Republicans don't care about competence or integrity or even having the seriousness and intellect to serve the people.

The fact that they opposed even Collins forever hurts them with Republicans imo. Yeah she's terrible, but she's not extreme compared to the rest. What's insane is that they have featured Reagan in their ads, who was much to the right of Collins.

I am working to GOTV for both the Dec 1 local special election runoff and Jan 5 senate runoff here in GA.
We have two runoffs, including a DA runoff. Kemp had tried to illegally cancel the General Election DA race in his own home county, but the Democratic candidate, won a court case to hold the election. |

7. QAnon Barbie has declared herself to be 100% with Trump.
This racist, Republican, anti- women’s rights, entitled white woman, who is the single richest member of the US Senate, is only in this race because she was appointed to the Senate by Governor Brian KKKemp, who stoke the Gubernatorial election from Stacey Abrams by massive voter suppression, among other tactics.
She’s managed to anchor herself to two of the most deplorable politicians in the US in her effort to win her first ever election. I live in Georgia, and I’d never heard of her before she was appointed by KKKemp. |

30. The democrats better take the gloves off.
We don't have to lie, or even spin, but we DO need to put it all out there to remind everyone that this is a vote between democracy and fascism. And nothing less. Most Americans (and I emphasize MOST) appreciate being told the truth, even if it hurts. It shows we respect them, that we aren't conning them.
This is a vote between hate and healing. Yes, we are worried about our health, and yes, we are worried about the economy. But neither will matter if we don't survive as a country. An analogy... Your house, situated on the Colorado River, one mile downstream from the Hoover Dam, just caught fire. Simultaneously, the dam just completely collapsed. You heard the emergency alarm and can HEAR the roar of the oncoming deluge. Which should you worry about? Your house, or your life? With Moscow Mitch stopping everything Biden tries to do, just like he did to Obama, we may not have time to wait for more elections, in two more years, much less four. After seeing how much obstruction MM has done in the eight years of Obama, and since democrats gained control of the house, just how much more can he do? It is time to snatch the band aid off the wound, using the blunt truth, to do some SERIOUS healing. More "make do until another election" band aids won't help anything. Wounds that won't heal tend to develop gangrene. QAnon, white supremacists, neo-nazis are indicating symptoms of that gangrene. We don't want to get to where amputations are the only option. More time will allow THEM to figure out even more ways to obstruct. (Possibly technically legal, but against the very spirit of our democracy.) We don't have more time. Paint a stark, but accurate, picture of the new republican. Most won't like what they see. LIST what they have stopped. It will be a LONG list. SHAME them. Many can't be shamed, but some will respond. Hopefully it will be enough to take the senate. TAKE THE DAMN GLOVES OFF. |

Stop the presses!
I can't believe I'm having to credit to Joey Scar for something, but he actually made a point - Democrats shouldn't try to play defense. We need to make better efforts to attack their asses. And Mr. Warnock is actually doing a great job with this, given the interviews I've seen with him. |

25. GOP wins by false attacks which often work-- very hard to neutralize
Mike Dukakis was the poster child for being slandered that way with being painted as soft on crime (Willie Horton's rampage), unpatriotic (was against the flag amendment), being a far leftist/communist (called a card carrying member of the ACLU and "a liberal" used in a derogatory way by Bush), weak on the military (Dukakis in a tank commercial). Dukakis went from leading by 17% in the polls to losing by 8%.
So these attacks can be very effective and hard to counter. |

52. Take The Gloves Off
Or you will get killed. Loeffler is reminding voters that her opponent is black. Racism still sells in a big way in Georgia. And it turns out the racists in droves.
If the Democrat attacks the racism he will be accused of being a big cry baby and the Trumpsters will cheer wildly. This will be a very tough race to win given the turf this is being battled on. Hit her for having blood on her hands for not standing up for Georgians on the pandemic and her inaction has led directly to tens of thousands of Georgians in the past year because so much of the carnage was preventable by having a plan and executing it. She didn't call for one and Trump didn't develop one, even though the Obama administration handed them a 70 page plan. But let them frame it as defund the police and socialism where "the blacks" get all of the money and you lose. Take the gloves off and start pounding away. https://covid.cdc.gov/covid-data-tracker/#trends_dailytrendscases |
