Biden says Trump failure to concede embarrassing

Source: AP

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Latest on President-elect Joe Biden (all times local):

3:05 p.m.

President-elect Joe Biden says President Donald Trump’s failure to recognize his victory is an “embarrassment.”

It marked the sharpest critique yet from the incoming president at the incumbent, as Trump’s team has refused to formally begin preparations for the transition.

Taking questions from reporters Tuesday for the first time since his victory, Biden predicted that “it will not help the president’s legacy.”

As I said in another thread, if everyone mocked the attempts for the ridiculousness that they are (instead of panicking at every tiny development), we'd all be better off.

We have plenty of lawyers and other professionals on the cases. The rest of us should just point and laugh.

Unless as it seems for some here, they like the turmoil

I actually lost. My bad."

No matter how much President-Elect Biden says, "We're not red states and blue states, we're the United States," I'm not going to accept that until the Republicans acknowledge Biden's win.

And I'm contributing to the Georgia races so McConnell can take a hike and Joe get the Congress he deserves.

But I suspect millions of people are also contributing. I know the emails asking for donations are flying into my in box. There’s actually just as many as before the elections only these are just for Georgia’s runoff.

one of them already has 120,000+ members.
Posters from all over the country, donating, volunteering to help in other ways
links to phone banks, texting banks, postcard writing campaigns etc.

I plan to do postcards, for sure. I can't go to GA but I sure wish I could; I would even have a free place to stay. Our county chair and one of our state committee members are already making plans to head for Georgia. Also the Union liason with the Democratic Party is going to be down there for work so he will put in some time as well.

What the hell is wrong with these people? They are truly the laughing stock of the world now.

Does anyone know the required process if rethugs continue to refuse certifying the election? Is it necessary for Biden to take office in January?

Until they didn’t.

Ok, ok, I’m calling Godwin’s law on myself. We probably are better laughing then freaking out. But...

This one thing I do believe. tRump could go full dictator, declare martial law, start arresting his enemies, and traitor Mitch and the craven senate would back him 100%. At this point it’s almost a question of how far he is willing to go.

McConnell has already gone beyond all semblance of decency and fair play, and trump is known for pushing the limits far beyond what anyone thought he could. Both keep pushing the limits to extremes.

Why would this be any different than refusing to allow hearings on Obama’s judicial nominees and then filling those seats with unqualified and patently partisan hacks, or preventing folks from testifying in congressional investigations and probably colluding with Russia, not to mention the 100s of other treacherous plays by this cabal?
