Kamala Harris has become a household name in Thulasendrapuram with big banners of her being placed in several parts of the village and special pooja being organised to pray for her victory.

In a remote village called Thulasendrapuram in Painganadu, near Mannargudi in Tamil Nadu's Tiruvarur district, Kamala Devi Harris has become a household name. The village's Shri Dharmasastha Temple has a unique wall where names of people who have made contributions to the temple are etched in Tamil, and the Democratic vice-presidential candidate for the 2020 US election is also one of them.
While the candidature of Kamala Harris is history in the making, her village folks are doing their bit to support their "own girl".
The Shri Dharmasastha Temple is seeing regular visitors and special pooja is being organised to pray for Kamala Harris' victory.................................
