Study links Trump rallies to more than 700 Covid deaths
Source: Politico
President Donald Trump's campaign rallies between June and September may have caused some 30,000 coronavirus infections and more than 700 deaths, according to a new study by Stanford University economists. The working paper, released late Friday, examined the impact of 18 rallies held between June 20 and Sept. 30 by comparing spread of the virus after each event to parts of the country that didn't host rallies. The findings illustrate the risks of not heeding public health warnings to wear masks and avoid large gatherings to mitigate the risks of Covid-19, the authors -- including B. Douglas Bernheim, the chair of Stanford's economics department -- wrote. "The communities in which Trump rallies took place paid a high price in terms of disease and death," they wrote. Fifteen of the 18 events studied were held outdoors. Trump has drawn criticism for continuing to hold events with large, tightly packed crowds in states that are experiencing outbreaks. Many in attendance, including Trump, have not worn masks. He already puts Typhoid Mary to shame and she was confined for decades for continuing to serve as a cook even though she had typhoid fever.

5. Wow. DU is amazing in the way in brings like-minded folks together
I was going to post almost exactly those same words.
One of the great things about DU is it allows folks that think alike to get to get together, without us sinking into group think. For my dear DUers that who are nervous, I am too. Totally. We have been burned far too many times. But this time it's a movement of people disgusted with Trump and the Reputincans that have repeatedly brought disaster to our country. I am doing things that I and my family have never done before: contribute to races outside of our jurisdiction, send TONS of voter postcards all over the country, phone-banking to Spanish-speaking voters, and serving as a poll observer. And this is just us, and it's a small contribution to win back our country. TRUMP and REPUTINCANS, GET OUT NOW! That's what the results of Tuesday, November 3 will bring. This is our time! |

17. The worst part is...
He infected 30,000 and killed 700 people he likes - Trump supporters. (Trying to break out all the infections and deaths from people who got the virus from a rally attendee would not be easy...family members yes, random people in the supermarket who unknowingly got too close to a Trumpite, not so much.)
Imagine what he'd do to the people he hated! |

18. Yep, this is worse than negligent homicide. For a well informed president, this is
malice and forethought, thus murder.
Anything to stay out of jail, which is a helluva gamble since his future indictments sure are piling up. |

21. He's waging biological war on America. Putin pays a bounty for each American he kills.
The rallies were never anything but a bioweapon, disguised as gladiatorial entertainment for the rubes.
