5. Oh wow. Damn.
That will leave a mark here in the U.S. too because he has probably been considered the most favorite Bond. Let alone all the other stuff that he had been in over the decades. He made a big splash in the 3rd Raider's of the Lost Ark films too -

33. I never saw the latest Indiana Jones
but I think I read that for the most recent installment of the series - "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" (2008), Harrison Ford sortof patterned the part after Connery's depiction of Jones' father, now that the character was older. The newest installment is due out next year believe it or not!

35. Yes, he was by far the best. My favs after him are Pierce Brosnan and Daniel Craig.
I didn't think I would like Craig but he does a great job in the role.

32. His Bond could deliver sexist lines like
The most notable Bond Girl gag in the film involves Lana Wood in the role of Plenty – Plenty O'Toole. ... She then reveals her full name, and Bond quips that she must have been named after her father.
and get away with it. |

He was the quintessential James Bond that no other has measured up to since.
It funny but in the last few weeks I've watched The Rock and The Hunt for Red October (his Russian accent left a lot to be desired. But I think he character was actually supposed to be Lithuanian). Since I have every Bond movie ever made, I'll be watching one tonight. Dr. No seems appropriate. RIP Sir Sean Connery...Say hello to M & Q. |
