Duval County judge leading vote-counting board donated to Trump 12 times. That's not allowed.

Source: Florida Times-Union

A local judge and head of Duval County’s vote-counting board has donated repeatedly to President Trump’s re-election campaign and other Republican efforts, and his home is covered in signs supporting Trump, despite rules requiring judges like him to refrain from donations or public support.

Duval County senior Judge Brent Shore has served as chairman of the canvassing board because of his role as a county judge.

Yet judicial rules bar judges from political donations of any kind.

And canvassing board rules bar members from "displaying a candidate's campaign signs."

1. Will he be removed from his post?

That’s election cheating just waiting to happen. And if he has been in this role in the past, I wonder how often he ensured that Republican candidates won.

13. THAT'S what has to change when Democrats take power back.

NO “forgive and forget.”

NO “we need to move on...”

There have to be consequences for this.

5. Absolutely agree!

Why is it that for some people our laws are merely a suggestion? They continuously and contemptuously break the law and nothing is done. Are we a nation of laws or not? (Or, are the laws just for us "little people"?)

7. This is one good candidate for impeachment, or whatever you do to local judges.

They ALL have to be removed, or make their lives so miserable that they resign. You KNOW he has a lot of shit in the closet. Let's bring it all out. So sad for his family.

12. I do not think its a law.

A Judge or Candidate for Judicial Office Shall Refrain From Inappropriate Political Activity

its part of their code of conduct which of course they should strive to adhere to.
Whether or not its enforceable is probably at the discretion of the chief judge.

15. 2 questions you ask?

1. So what are they going to do about it?
Probably they'll remind people what a wonderful and selfless public servant he has been for such a long time and then just forget about it. Hoping everyone else will too.
2. Has FL already started counting votes?
Yes, the mail-in ballots are being processed as we speak. It does, of course, remain to be seen how many of the actual total submitted (either by mail, drop box or directly to the local supervisor of elections office) will in fact be counted or counted accurately. That's where the many "wonderful and selfless public servant"'s purpose shines forth.

It's also where Trump's favorite governor comes into play. He's likely to reprise some versions of the 2000 clown show count, resurrected to provide Florida's latest fog-of-war confusion which the GOP will undoubtedly air to pacify political media addicts of all stripes.
Also, don't discount Florida's penchant for promoting thoroughly corrupt women to the office of Secretary of State (our official ballot count certifier). Replacing Katherine Harris in her 2000 starring roll, we have Laurel Moore Lee. Just a couple weeks ago, Ms. Lee sought to purge former felons from voter rolls if they had outstanding court debts. Apparently Ms. Moore assumes her Sec. of State office outweighs the authority of the Florida SC (oh, it's a long story). Politico described her action as "a surprise, late-hour move that comes after more than 2 million people already have voted in the presidential battleground." Lee's decision was not distributed to the wider public, only to local election officials. i.e: "wonderful and selfless public servant"s

Between you and me, I wouldn't bet on Florida's 29 electoral votes being in the Biden corner. I just hope that the drama is confined to Florida. Joe can win without Florida but it becomes problematic if every other state is having some scandal and is unable to certify totals and finally close the race down. I don't like civil wars.
