Source: Bloomberg
(Bloomberg) -- Joe Biden will travel to Georgia on Tuesday, the Democratic presidential nominees first campaign trip to a state that hasnt voted for a Democrat since 1992 but one where polls show a tight race.
Biden plans to travel to Warm Springs and Atlanta, according to his campaign, as Democrats focus on flipping a state thats been trending in their direction.
The former vice president will speak on bringing Americans together to address the crises facing our nation, his campaign said.

(17,387 posts)In Texas and Georgia, you have Governors going through extreme efforts to limit polling locations. Do the polls really reflect whether people would be willing to stand in line for hours or drive a long way where the State Government has cut polling or ballot drop box locations? Polling does not equal votes.
We need people to be heroic like John Lewis in being willing to overcome the racist barriers to voting that the Republican party has embraced. In some states, Democracy is failing as Republicans work the system to choose their voters, rather than allowing voters to choose their leaders.

(2,341 posts)It's one of the states most likely to be stolen. Especially since it's close.

(17,387 posts)I think too many people talk about "stolen votes" or some sort of conspiracy regarding voting counts. That is not the problem. The problem is right in front of us in the form of voter suppression and a reduction in polling sites. When you see a long line with people waiting hours on end, you do not need to change the votes cast, because you have simply prevented people from casting votes in the first place.
