Court grants temporary stay, allowing Texas governor's directive for limited drop box locations to c

Source: CNN

Washington (CNN)A federal appeals court on Saturday granted a temporary administrative stay, allowing Texas Gov. Greg Abbott's directive for one location per county for ballot drop boxes to remain in place for now.

The grant from the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit means the directive from Abbott, a Republican, will stand until the court has considered the state's motion for a stay on its merits.

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton had filed an emergency motion Saturday for a stay pending appeal to block a district court order that would have allowed county officials to accept hand delivery of mail-in ballots at any county annex or satellite office.

The motion seeks to require eligible voters to hand-deliver their ballots to a single early voting clerk's office to ensure ballot security, his office said in a release.

I don't care how they will cry foul. They've been foul and court-packing was all Moscow Mitch has done past 4 years.

We need to increase the size of both SCOTUS and the rest of the Federal Judiciary if we win the WH and Senate. That would neutralize Trump’s appointees.

Like an octopus?
Obviously that would be tough to do, but I’m pointing out the absurdity of a geographic location. If we had a vanishing cabinet like in Harry Potter?

Assholes.

I cast my vote in spite of all your brazen efforts. And I won't forget, having to risk my life to take action against the worst and most dangerous president ever inflicted on this country. I hope all of you pay a high price for what you did.

They are scared. But this is bs close to an election. I would imagine Abbott is getting phone calls from the orange banshee late at night screaming at him to suppress voting.
