Federal judge: Ohio elections chief Frank LaRose can't limit ballot drop boxes, LaRose will appeal

Source: Columbus Dispatch

COLUMBUS - Ohio county boards of elections can offer off-site drop boxes and collection of voters' absentee ballots, a federal judge ruled Thursday.

U.S. District Judge Dan Polster blocked Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose's order, which prohibited off-site drop boxes. But the Republican elections chief will appeal.

Democrats and voting right advocates pushed for more drop box locations amid record-setting absentee ballot requests and concerns about U.S. Postal Service delivery.

Polster found that limiting each county to one drop box location had a "disproportionate effect on people of color" living in more populous counties, imposing a "significant burden" on their right to vote.

He has his mug on the local news all of the time acting so honest and sincere and interested in a fair and free election. I don’t trust that smarmy creep any more than I could pick up my house and throw it. And it’s actions like his appeal that show me that I’m right on the dime.

but couldn't because of OH law. Now the courts are telling him, there is no law to prevent multiple drop off locations. But yet he is fighting it tooth and nail.

I would like, when pleading their case in court, for the Republicans to admit the true reason for their argument:

"Your Honor, when everyone votes, we lose."

Seriously, Has anyone said what is your reasoning behind only 1 drop of box? Has anyone asked?

but OH law only allows one drop box. So one would think he wouldn't be fighting tooth and nail when judges tell him OH doesn't limit it one box. But he is fighting it.
I have no clue as to what explanation he has for not allowing multiple boxes when courts tell him he should, considering he claimed he wanted multiple boxes.
