Minnesota Republicans fly Delta home from D.C. after COVID-19 exposure

Source: Star Tribune

Minnesota’s three Republican congressmen flew home on a Delta flight from Washington, D.C., Friday night, despite airline restrictions on passengers recently exposed to COVID-19-positive people such as President Donald Trump.

U.S. Reps. Pete Stauber, Tom Emmer and Jim Hagedorn all tested negative for COVID-19 on Friday after traveling with Trump on Air Force One to and from a Duluth rally on Wednesday.

The three were to arrive at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport on a Delta flight Friday night.

Delta policy states that the airline will not allow anyone knowingly exposed to COVID-19 in the past 14 days to travel. Health experts advise a 14-day quarantine after close exposure to someone with COVID-19 even if an initial test proves negative.

No idea if that’s legally feasible, but it seems justified if you ask me.

You need to stop for gas, stop for food, bathroom breaks, etc, and at that distance, probably stop to sleep.

If they falsely claimed they had not been exposed, and subsequently another passenger dies, aren't they liable for manslaughter?

standing after these elections should be thrown out of office and never allowed again, to hold public office. It's seems like the entire republican party has swallowed a 'hate all fellow human beings' pill or a 'hate all other Americans' pill. Where is the compassion and concern for one's fellow human being? Where's the concern for NOT infecting others with a deadly disease, the tests themselves aren't perfect, thus why so many positive cases are finally determined after multiple tests.

The party of NO, the party of bullies, the party of ME ME ME.
