Trump campaign, Republican groups sue 'rogue' Iowa election officials over absentee ballot forms

Source: Des Moines Register

“President Donald Trump's campaign and several national Republican political committees are suing Johnson and Linn counties' auditors, who, they accuse, have gone "rogue" in issuing absentee ballot request forms ahead of November's election.
Already, the Johnson County Auditor's Office is reporting 9,634 requests in their system with more than 3,000 awaiting processing. And Linn County Auditor Joel Miller told the Press-Citizen he had already received an estimated 40,000 requests.
The suit asks the courts to invalidate these absentee ballot requests, requiring voters to resubmit before an Oct. 24 deadline in order to receive their absentee ballot. . .”

2. What bullshit. I live in Iowa and printed my request from the SoS website

and sent it in right after it could legally be sent on July 6th. Whether the request was mailed from the county auditor's office or printed from a website, what's the difference?
Of course Johnson and Linn Counties are major sources of Democratic votes in Iowa.

5. Yes, they are really sounding desperate

I'm in New Hampshire and I printed my request off the computer and mailed it in. I've since received my primary ballot and mailed it back in. I was able to request both my primary and general ballot with the same application.

6. Used to live in Linn County, in Coggon - just north of Paris, Iowa. On the banks of the ...

mighty Wapsipinicon River. I'd live there still if my southern born wife didn't fear snow so much.

7. Iowa is such a lovely, increasingly diverse

state, enduring the coldhearted, brittle, trumpy reynolds.

9. All those Republicans and yet there's a private or brand name religion affilliated liberal ...

arts college in almost every county on in the north east corner. Just love it. I love the farm auctions, too.

8. What exactly is Trump's grievance, or injury here?

Does he even have standing? The people haven't voted yet. He can't say with any degree of certainty which voters or groups of voters will vote, or will vote against him. This to me seems trying to get an injunction of sorts against something that hasn't actually happened. Is it litigating paranoia?

10. Yes. Is this akin

to mandating shower flow only to accommodate his gnarly hair?

12. He isn't even hiding it.

Admitted he wants post office to have no funds so they can't deliver our ballots.
