Dallas County reports 29 children hospitalized for COVID-19

Source: ABC

DALLAS Dallas County officials announced Friday that 29 children have been hospitalized for COVID-19 during the first three weeks of July.

Over 1,450 children under 18 years old have been diagnosed with confirmed COVID-19 during that same time frame, officials announced.

A 5-year-old boy is the youngest to die in Dallas County in the COVID-19 pandemic. He had been critically ill in a hospital and had underlying health risk conditions, officials said Friday.

These updates come as the start of school is just weeks away.

1. So the back to schoolers are worried about the socialization of children.

Worried that without school they won't develop the proper social skills or some such.

Imagine a teacher having to explain how one of their classmates died because they came to school and got sick

I guess that would be a big life lesson to learn in kindergarten

3. My kindergarteners had to cope with the loss of two staff members this past year. I feel

that the possibility of ongoing waves of grief and interrupted schooling will be just as detrimental as full-time distance learning.

2. And Betsy DeVoss says children are 'stoppers' of the disease. They don't get sick with it, she says.

She also claims as 'stoppers' they also do not pass it along much.

There is no evidence for what she says, but this is one of her justifications to just go ahead and open up the schools face to face.

I saw Chris Cuomo tonight on CNN talking about this idiotic and dangerous narrative that she promulgates.
She lies.
