Vindman to retire from military. His lawyer blames White House 'campaign of bullying, intimidation
Source: CNN
Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman, a key witness in President Donald Trump's impeachment inquiry, is retiring from the US Army after more than 21 years of military service because he determined that his future in the armed forces "will forever be limited" due to political retaliation by the President and his allies, his lawyer told CNN Wednesday. Vindman has endured a "campaign of bullying, intimidation, and retaliation" spearheaded by the President following his testimony in the impeachment inquiry last year, according to his attorney, Amb. David Pressman. News of Vindman's retirement marks the culmination of a months-long saga dating back to his public testimony in November. Trump fired Vindman as the top Ukraine expert on the National Security Council in February and also ousted his twin brother who also played a key role in impeachment proceedings while serving at the White House as an NSC lawyer. 15. Instead of don Corleone as in the Godfather movies/books
Don Trump is don Colon. It sounds better in spanish, but my accent over the second syllable in Colon wouldn't post.
I like the spanish references (like pendejo45) |

that's funny
![]() ![]() ![]() I get it Don Colón I tried adding the accent on the 'o' in the title, but it would accept. But apparently it works in the Message text section. So I understand why I initially saw Coln, then your change to Colon. |

13. If Biden prevails, hopefully. I pray that these bastards will be held accountable.
If the Democrats capture the Senate and House I pray that they will clean house in the Dept. of Justice and prosecute everyone of those who have been complacent, especially the crooked Attorney General and his staff. Hopefully the solid principle that this nation was founded on that no person is above the law will be applied without any restraint.
I contend that if the Bush and Cheney administration had been held accountable that much what we are experiencing would have been avoided when people knew that they could be prosecuted. They sent thousands of our soldiers to the death on out right lies and we did nothing. Let us go after them with the same intensity that they have used over the last forty years to indoctrinate their constituency with lies and outright hatred about their fellow countrymen. |

I totally agree. Biden should appoint him to a PRESTIGIOUS job. But he can do that if he still wears a uniform. Years in service have an impact on his retirement. Trump is hurting him financially. Intentionally remember he fired an FBI agent the day before he could benefit from his full retirement.

25. What is particularly heartbreaking
is that Vindman and his family left behind a totalitarian regime to live in a country that they believed was founded on honorable principles.
We heard him tell his father that he would be all right, even though he was speaking truth about the people in power. I don't remember if he specifically said, "This is America." as an affirmation that this country wouldn't seek to punish him for doing his duty and speaking the truth even if it were inconvenient to those in authority. There is still a part of me that still believes the unspoken promise that Vindman encapsulated when he said, "This is America." Unfortunately, the words, "This is America." also highlight the broken promise to Black Americans when used in Childish Gambino's music video. If slavery is America's "Original Sin", then Trump is America's secondary flare-up of some venereal disease. |
