Hong Kong: US and allies defend 'bastion of freedom'

The US, UK, Australia and Canada have issued fresh condemnation of Beijing's new security law for Hong Kong, which they say has "flourished as a bastion of freedom".

They say the international community has a "significant and long-standing stake" in its prosperity and stability.

China's move to impose the new law during a global pandemic risked undermining trust in governments and international co-operation, they said.

China has rejected foreign criticism.

1. The US should be removed from the list defending the bastion of freedom as long as trump

occupies the WH, and the republicans have the majority in the Senate

4. the U.S. has clearly stepped back

from any "defense" of Taiwan/HongKong .. and that has been happening for some time.
Headline should read: "People's lips are moving --"

Britain, Canada and Australia.

They did it as a insurance policy against what the Chinese Communists are doing now.

Only hurdle for them is SARS-CoV-2.

Thatís why China did it right now. They know it will be hard for educated and talented people to leave right now. When those people abandon ship, HK is toast.
