New York Times calls on DNC to investigate Tara Reade allegationsThis discussion thread was locked as off-topic by NancyBlueINOklahoma (a host of the Latest Breaking News forum). The New York Times editorial board is calling on the Democratic National Committee (DNC) to investigate Tara Reade's sexual assault allegations against former Vice President Joe Biden. “His campaign, and his party, have a duty to assure the public that the accusations are being taken seriously,” the board wrote in an editorial published Friday evening. “The Democratic National Committee should move to investigate the matter swiftly and thoroughly, with the full cooperation of the Biden campaign,” the board continued. In its latest editorial calling for a DNC investigation, the board stated, "As is so often the case in such situations, it is all but impossible to be certain of the truth. But the stakes are too high to let the matter fester — or leave it to be investigated by and adjudicated in the media." 3. Biden really needs to get out there and do something definitive and positive-
about the pandemic-- like naming who will be on his taskforce maybe-- so that the allegations won't be the only thing that comes up when we google Biden....

4. When is the NYT going to call on DJT to provide a DNA swab in response
to Jean Carroll's defamation lawsuit about her rape claim?
https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/donald-trump/e-jean-carroll-who-says-trump-raped-her-seeks-his-n1126796 Why is the NYT's treating Reade so differently than Carroll, who has filed a defamation lawsuit against Trump and is demanding his DNA to see if it matches some male DNA on the dress she was wearing the day she was assaulted? |

9. So the NY Times did that three days ago.
Isn't that the same time that AOC and other Bernie supporters were asking the DNC for the same thing.

11. Thorough investigation
Give it a full two weeks like Kavanaugh.
Then, investigate one week for each of Trump’s 26 accusers. That is a full investigation, not sticking a microscope up Joe’s ass over an already discredited and inconsistent allegation from 27 years ago. How about a thorough investigation into the origin of Tara, or is that too “politically incorrect” to give “an innocent woman” the same treatment as Biden? Ironically, if Biden doesn’t hit back hard it solidifies the Trump cult’s concept of weak women needing protection of men. Don’t fall for it, Joe, women are smarter than that. |

16. I believe that the Kavanaugh investigation was supposed to be 1 week, but did not even last
...that long. In addition, a number of important witnesses were never talked to in that sham pretend investigation.

13. The investigation should also look into if she stands to financially gain from this as in
did someone give or promise to give her money to bring up these allegations.

14. Did anyone call on the RNC to investigate the many sexual assault allegations...
against Donald Trump. Does anyone remember The New York Times calling on the RNC to investigate all of the allegations against Donald Trump? Can anyone imagine the RNC ever doing that for any candidate ever?
The purpose of these national committees is to get their candidates elected, not to give life to allegations made by thoroughly non-credible people. If the DNC were to investigate, and they would find Tara Reade's allegations shaky, as I am sure that they would, would that stop any Republican from pushing the allegations further? Would it stop Bernie fans from pushing the allegations further? The NYTimes is not really thinking this through. |

19. This Is Barnyard Product
The paper's own investigation showed the allegations were nonesense. Nothing has changed, if anything, it has become even more obvious Reade is a liar.
If they want to press for serious consideration of sexual misconduct by a candidate, there are a couple of dozen solid charges against the cheap thug they know is guilty, with several of these being actively pursued in court. |

20. We should investigate these allegations
And after the day we spend proving these allegations are false, we then need to trace these allegations back to Donald Trump.
The basis of EVERY attack on Biden, whether it's Burisma, Tara Reade or whatever else they throw at him, is Donald Trump's dire need to NOT go to prison - which is exactly what's going to happen to him after he loses the election, and he knows it. Which means that Trump is behind this latest attack, just like he was behind Burisma. Which may also mean we need to impeach the bastard again. |
