Pence's office denies he spoke with Sondland about investigations

Source: The Hill

Vice President Mike Pence's office pushed back on Sondland's testimony Wednesday that he raised concerns that aid for Ukraine had become tied to Trump's desire for investigations.

“The Vice President never had a conversation with Gordon Sondland about investigating the Bidens, Burisma, or the conditional release of financial aid to Ukraine based upon potential investigations," Pence's chief of staff, Marc Short, said in a statement

Sondland said in his opening statement that he brought up the issue during a Sept. 1 meeting with Pence in Warsaw. However, Short denied the exchange ever took place.

“Multiple witnesses have testified under oath that Vice President Pence never raised Hunter Biden, former Vice President Joe Biden, Crowdstrike, Burisma, or investigations in any conversation with Ukrainians or President Zelensky before, during, or after the September 1 meeting in Poland," Short said.

Even if you accept that statement is true, it does not mean Pence was not present when others talked about it thereby hearing it himself, nor does it mean Pence was unaware.

And why should I believe anything Pence or his spokesperson has to say? Based on what history of honesty?

The mathematical algorithm to determine the length between Pence-a-mother and the truth is still being calculated by sophisticated computers.

He didn't need a "conversation"... it was all "generally understood"

In other words, a CONSPIRACY.

Wouldn't THAT be a problem for Pense, et al????

It is likely NO ONE then spoke in the meeting to answer the issue raised. Bolton was protecting others from being on an official record saying things that are essentially a quid pro quo.

Sondland - to my knowledge - did not claim Pence raised the issue or even spoke to it - I believe he said that Pence "nodded". Also Sondland's comments led to Bolton ending the meeting - so it may be NO ONE spoke to the issue.

Not to mention - THIS IS THE HILL. The very source of all the Solomon written lies. Its owner is biased.

Note here that the contradiction comes in their headline and the first and third paragraphs - that are not quotes of either.

I don't see Trump lasting much longer. The Republican Senate has to decide if it's the end of their party, or the end of Trump.
