Portland radio host Lars Larson names suspected Donald Trump/Ukraine whistleblower on Fox News

Source: The Oregonian

"Portland-based conservative radio host Lars Larson on Thursday claimed to identify the suspected whistleblower at the center of the Ukraine scandal and President Donald Trump’s impeachment inquiry during an appearance on Fox News, apparently catching the network by surprise."

"While appearing as a panel guest on the “Outnumbered Overtime” show, Larson said a name he believes is the alleged whistleblower as he was criticizing the impeachment inquiry process, according to a clip of the segment that has appeared on social media. The person’s name has also been circulating in articles from right-wing media outlets this week.

In a statement, a Fox News spokesperson said network officials weren’t aware Larson would be saying the name on air.

“FOX News has not confirmed or independently verified the name of the whistleblower,” the statement said."

1. Propaganda Network

Fox so-called News releases an alleged whistleblower on its network. They made it happen, they aren’t victims of some guy blurting it out. They knew he was bringing red meat to the interview, and didn’t care enough to stop him.

They should face consequences, either legal, economic, or social.

2. "not confirmed or independently verified" Haven't even investigated

Even Fox News denial is weak, or almost acquiescence, like their talking heads know everything.

That network is trash.

5. The whistle blower's name has been out for a few days on Twitter

repeated hundreds of times by right wingers. Is the first person to out him in violation of the law or the 500 subsequent mentions? Despicable in any case.

13. My right wing relatives have been reposting his alleged name all over Facebook too.

It really is disgusting. Whether or not he is the actual whistle blower, they are putting that poor man's life in danger.

6. How long are Fox going to deny responsibility for the scumbags they put on air.

This isn't a bug, but by design.

7. How many times....

Did Faux "news" identify a Repuke politician accused of sexual impropriety as a "D" in the chyron?

Countless times.

A conservative former co-worker said it was because of "poor vetting".

These fucking imbeciles will never learn. You CANNOT convince a Trumpanzee of anything resembling reality. Sick fucks.

9. I only hope the RW shoots themselves (or each other) in the foot, and can't agree on who it is.

The more names that are floated, the more peoples' lives are seriously messed up. But if there is more than one name suggested, it would at least confuse the issue, and cause the 'outers' to be taken less seriously -- boys who cried wolf, and all that.

And maybe, years later, after all the tumult had passed, we'd still have another Mark Felt-type revelation.

10. Doesn't this constitute a violation of the...

Whistleblower Protection Act (1989, 5 U.S.C. 2302(b)(8)-(9), Pub.L. 101-12 as amended)?

This all seems like "he who should not be named"

Lord Voldemort....there I said it.

11. I keep asking

This person they keep naming... did he/she previously work for Joe Biden like Rand Paul claims? Anyone?
