House Republican Conference Chairwoman Liz Cheney (Wyo.) blasted Rep. Steve King on Wednesday and said it was time for the Iowa Republican "to go" amid uproar over his remarks on rape and incest.

"Today’s comments by @RepSteveKingIA are appalling and bizarre. As I’ve said before, it’s time for him to go. The people of Iowa’s 4th congressional district deserve better," Cheney, the No. 3 House Republican, tweeted.

During an event at the Westside Conservative Club in Iowa on Wednesday, King questioned whether there would be "any population of the world left" if rape and incest had not occurred throughout history.

"What if we went back through all the family trees and just pulled out anyone who was a product of rape or incest? Would there be any population of the world left if we did that?" he said, according to The Des Moines Register.

"Considering all the wars and all the rapes and pillages that happened throughout all these different nations, I know that I can't say that I was not a part of a product of that," he added.

King made the remarks while seeking to defend anti-abortion legislation with no rape or incest exceptions. The remarks quickly drew backlash from various political figures..........................................

She doesn't really care, but what he said was pretty bad and she couldn't publicly support him.

16. He only got 50.1 percent in 2018

If he runs he could lose so Cheney and others want him out so that they can hold the seat.

4. Many terrible things about this...

but one of them is his assumption that men and women would never willingly choose to love each other and mate and raise children together... though we know that's exactly how many/most children have been conceived for millennia.

He actually wants to present a world history where there are no families and no love-- just rape and subjection of women, and forced childbirth, and abandonment of children.

Yeah, the headline should have bothered to specify which Cheney it was referring to.

9. This maggot has a wife and three children.

I can't believe that anyone with a wife, daughter, girlfriend, sister, niece, grandmother, etc., would ever say anything like that. How could it ever even enter their minds?

But I'm not a Republican, so I guess I'll never know.

10. Nope. The Democrats need to make him the face of the entire GOP legislature.

Bring his name and insane words up at every media attending opportunity. Insist on getting comments from every GOP member on their opinions of Steve King. Start with Graham and Cruz.

A primary win, then voted out with a JD Scholten win. One more D, even if it is just for a few cycles. Or, maybe, JD can hold the seat for a while.

...Oh, wait, it's a Cheney with a vagina.
False alarm.
When Dick ranks on him, he'll be shovel-ready in the eyes of the GOP.
Until then, he's just being Trump without the hair.

Western culture. White men who raped Native American women, killed off Buffalo herds for their skins, forced them to live in terrible conditions, erasing their cultures.

Liz Cheney should talk.

25. OK, she's only saying that

because he's in her way.

Liz Cheney is as evil and foul as her daddy. More, actually. I can't use the right words she deserves because blinder-wearing people here would have a knee-jerk reaction to hide my post.

Only certain words are as rancid and foul as Liz Cheney, and despite what some people say, they are not gender-specific words.

If you don't know what I mean, I suggest watching "Vice". It was very accurate about the Cheneys. Watch the extras on the Blu-Ray also for the whole story.

on hard right-wing policy issues.

The words Cheney and morals don't belong on the same page.

In her coal-dependent, ultra-Republican state that's just seen two of its biggest mines closed, she's flailing desperately for a distraction.

Got a plan to help your voters, eh Liz? Anything...?

It seems that at least some are angry at west coast states, primarily Washington, for blocking export access.
