House Democrats are drafting a resolution to condemn President Donald Trumpís racist tweets against Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and other high-profile freshman congresswomen.

ďThis weekend, the President went beyond his own low standards using disgraceful language about Members of Congress,Ē Speaker Nancy Pelosi wrote in a letter to House Democrats announcing the party's plans.

"This morning, the President doubled down on his attacks on our four colleagues suggesting they apologize to him," she added. "Let me be clear, our Caucus will continue to forcefully respond to these disgusting attacks.Ē

1. Yeah, that ought to shut trump up, good and proper.

Who needs any movement on impeachment, when the awesome might of a House resolution can be unleashed?

That laughter you hear is coming from the White House.

There's a BIG difference between failing to condemn something and voting against a resolution condemning something.

18. disagree, there are persuadables

I read the political landscape differently. I think there are voters out there that are nominally OK with policy (the economy) -- and still VERY uncomfortable with blatant racism. It's NOT who they think they are. So every time you can show them, in stark black and white, what a swine the president really is ... It does have an impact. And I'd be willing to bet you see a lot of representatives (when pressed) standing up there saying, "cannot agree", "doesn't represent", "not what our country .." They want to distance themselves from this crap. And they would prefer not to have their noses rubbed in it.

28. You're right.

The historic value of what members of Congress do always comes into play sooner or later. There are plenty of examples. Right now weíre in the middle of one example with Biden on two fronts. heís being forced back on his heels over his treatment of Anita Hill decades ago and of his co-operative behavior towards racist Congressmen, also decades ago. Yet itís pretty much understood that in general he isnít a sexist or a racist, but past actions are now hounding him.

Public opinions and mores change over time. Karmic adjustments always catch up sooner or later, and something that was acceptable back in the day doesnít always make it acceptable today.

You know, Trump's election was God's choice, otherwise it would not have happened (according to many religious folks -- because God is all powerful). So, perhaps Trump was actually sent by God to create hell right here. You know, for convenience.

I'm waiting for Trump to claim he is God's all time favorite president.

This is more than just racism. It goes further than that.

IMO, Trump is priming the pump for police action against liberals.
