Iran nuclear deal: Enriched uranium limit breached, IAEA confirms

Source: BBC

Iran has breached the limit on its stockpile of enriched uranium set under a 2015 nuclear deal with world powers, the global watchdog has confirmed.

The International Atomic Energy Agency said its inspectors had verified the 300kg (660lb) cap had been exceeded.

Iran stepped up production of enriched uranium, which is used to make reactor fuel and potentially nuclear weapons, in response to reinstated US sanctions.

European nations have warned that any violation will bring consequences.

The deal allows for the re-imposition of multilateral sanctions that were lifted in return for Iran limiting its nuclear activities.

This is due to the US pulling out of JCPOA.

1. This is the Direct Result of Trump's and Bolton's Policies

This is a direct result of Trumpís and Boltonís policies. Iran is in the crosshairs. As is often said about other countries: Iran has a right to defend itself! Meanwhile here with the endless wars being so expensive, our people are going without! After visiting Iran in 2008 I found a modern scientific country itís friendly people and a country that was the cradle of civilization. We could be selling them fridges and air conditioners instead of fighting. This is so stupid!

4. It's really amazing

It's amazing how many of our decisions have come back to bite us (and everyone else!) in the ass.

We really need to reevaluate our international relationships, and how/when to intervene. It's one of a few things that have driven me increasingly Left over the years.

6. Its much of the reason that so many are fleeing Central American countries as well

If many of them are now 'shithole' countries its because the US created the conditions for mass disparagy between the rich and poor in those countries. Sustaining brutal dictators over peasant uprisings. Even after murders of priests and nuns.

If the US had in the last century worked towards helping to establish more egalitarian, and democratic societies down there....even if it risked an actual fairly elected leader being be more stringent on giant US conglomerates like the United Fruit Company and other US companies. Allowing unionist to establish unions instead of murdering them etc.. Not only looking the other way but actually helping them learn torture techniques they could use against their own people.

You reap what you sow.

Instead we see the cesspool many of these countries have become because of all that unnecessary disparagy. Gang life becomes the only way to make money. Corrupt governments that only care about pleasing the world's elite oligarchs. And those caught in between are left hungry and desparate. The US owes these people an escape from the shithole they helped create.
