'Credible evidence' Saudi crown prince liable for Khashoggi killing - UN report

Source: The Guardian

The crown prince of Saudi Arabia should be investigated over the murder of the dissident journalist Jamal Khashoggi because there is “credible evidence” that he and other senior officials are liable for the killing, according to a damning and forensic UN report.

In an excoriating 100-page analysis published on Wednesday of what happened to Khashoggi last October, Agnes Callamard, the UN’s special rapporteur, says the death of the journalist was “an international crime”.

“It is the conclusion of the special rapporteur that Mr Khashoggi has been the victim of a deliberate, premeditated execution, an extrajudicial killing for which the state of Saudi Arabia is responsible under international human rights law,” she says.

Using recordings of conversations from inside the Istanbul consulate where Khashoggi was killed, her report pieces together his last moments, and how he was confronted by a Saudi officials , one of whom said: “We are coming to get you.”

1. That would make Jared Kushner complicit in his murder.

He can claim ignorance, but not credibly.

4. Kushner gave the Crown Prince classified information that helped him to carry out the murder and ...

.... Donald and Pompeo helped to cover it up.

11. We really have no say in the matter

Such is only reserved for the legal process should that ever come to pass which I highly doubt will occur.

10. He is an accessory to murder, pure and simple.

He hand delivered to MBS illegal recordings of Khashoggi showing his animus for both MBS, SA, & Drumpf and it's reputed he said here's the proof, now you can "take care of him". So the government of his dad is also an accessory because they ordered the wire taps with no national security reasons, just profit for Kushner & hate for anyone Arabic and not filthy rich.

6. Now we need to know

When trump and kusbner were informed by anyone he was being targeted before he was murdered.I suspect they were and we need to ask them both if they were briefed before he was murdered, and why they did nothing after they were told by our intel people and did nothing. Reporters should ask them both when they were told first , under oath if before Congress too. I suspect trump and kushner knew all about his being targeted for murder , and a favor for the prince and a favor for trump after he wrote damning things about trump.

And the weapons deals and nuclear technology they were bribing them with , and probably kickbacks to themselves.

15. I guess you get the allies you deserve

1 in 3 American citizens is responsible for this mess and happy that it's going the way it is.

You have to scrape the bottom of the barrel to find fitting allies for a country like ours.

16. And we already burned Qatar, our only real ally

I mean, we have a military base in Qatar, right? For now, anyway.

13. Greenwald and Snowden were unavailable for comment

I guess in their eyes some journalists are more "equal" than others...
