A 102-year-old woman facing eviction from her California home of nearly 30 years is getting help from Arnold Schwarzenegger.

The Los Angeles Times reports Thelma Smith was given until June 30 to move out by landlords who say their daughter needs a place to live.

Los Angeles' rent control law provides relocation assistance for elderly and disabled.

Schwarzenegger, who knew Smith through his involvement with the charity, called the eviction "heartless." He tweeted: "Imagine doing this to a 102-year-old woman who gave back to the community her whole life."

9. So where did the daughter live before she went to college,

then law school? Since Thelma has been a tenant there for 30 years, she obviously pre-dated the birth of the landlords' daughter.

If this was me, I'd be telling mom and dad that I'd be happy to sleep on the couch for as long as Thelma is alive and able to live independently.

I'd sleep on the couch until I figured stuff out before going along with having a 102-year-old evicted from their home and put out on the street.

8. Years ago, a professoinal musician (B list famous) was interviewed on N.P.R.

He was featured soloist at Arnold's wedding to Maria. He commented that Arnold was the only person who ever wrote a "thank you" note for his performance.

Also his response to the assault last week. Not to press charges.
