There is a growing sense of concern inside the White House over the negative reaction to Matthew Whitaker being tapped as acting attorney general after Jeff Sessions' abrupt firing.

Whitaker, who was Sessions' chief of staff, has faced criticism since Wednesday afternoon's announcement for his previous comments on special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation.

Several senior officials told CNN they were surprised by the criticism, and believe it could potentially jeopardize Whitaker's chances of remaining in the post if it continues to dominate headlines.

6. The only thing I saw was yesterday

Rosensteinís lawyer went to court for some unknown reason. The speculation is Rosenstein has standing to challenge the Whitaker appointment, but no official word yet.

4. I am being shown, against some of my frequent pessimism,

that 'complaining' can work.

I still am not optimistic about the outcome of the fascist coup, but I Do keep fighting as best I can.
Most recently standing on the corner in the almost dark for a MOVE-ON demo against the Session firing... Only about 20 of us, but a small town..

5. Every little bit helps.

Individually, our impact is small, but collectively we can force change.

Someone will tally up all the crowd estimates, and you and I will be a part of history.

10. Not hard to keep it in the headlines when it looks like obstruction of justice for a cover up.

45 comes across as a shoplifter trying to get the owner to ease up on his crime by threatening his family.

He'd have better luck with his base if he just came out of the closet on his family's relationship with Putin.
