Mueller Ready to Deliver Key Findings in His Trump Probe, Sources Say

Source: Bloomberg

Rosenstein is pressing Mueller to wrap it up, official says
Next steps expected to occur after November midterm elections

Special Counsel Robert Mueller is expected to issue findings on core aspects of his Russia probe soon after the November midterm elections as he faces intensifying pressure to produce more indictments or shut down his investigation, according to two U.S. officials.

Specifically, Mueller is close to rendering judgment on two of the most explosive aspects of his inquiry: whether there were clear incidents of collusion between Russia and Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign, and whether the president took any actions that constitute obstruction of justice, according to one of the officials, who asked not to be identified speaking about the investigation.

That doesn’t necessarily mean Mueller’s findings would be made public if he doesn’t secure unsealed indictments. The regulations governing Mueller’s probe stipulate that he can present his findings only to his boss, who is currently Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein. The regulations give a special counsel’s supervisor some discretion in deciding what is relayed to Congress and what is publicly released.

The question of timing is critical. Mueller’s work won’t be concluded ahead of the Nov. 6 midterm elections, when Democrats hope to take control of the House and end Trump’s one-party hold on Washington.

snip from the article:
"The question of timing is critical. Mueller’s work won’t be concluded ahead of the Nov. 6 midterm elections, when Democrats hope to take control of the House and end Trump’s one-party hold on Washington.

But this timeline also raises questions about the future of the probe itself. Trump has signaled he may replace Attorney General Jeff Sessions after the election, a move that could bring in a new boss for Mueller. Rosenstein also might resign or be fired by Trump after the election."

The same Rosenstein (the Republican) who was patting Kavanaugh on the back at his Senate hearing!

I totally trust Mueller. The jury is still out (for me) on Rosenstein.

Remember, Rosenstein isn't even required to release Mueller's findings! What happens if he doesn't?
Will IC patriots leak their guts out to trusted Media? I sure as hell hope so!

Mueller is smart enough to anticipate what the criminal in the White House may do. I suspect he has a back-up "Plan B".
I hope he's allowed to engage it.

Or Rosenstein's been told to keep Tiny calm? But seems Tiny would see through a charade.

I would think DOJ standard operating procedure would be to stay away from targets and not to engage in acting?

So maybe you are right, maybe they can't prove anything. Not like they were ever gonna find anything taped or written " come help us Russia.". Always thought it would end up that 10 people said trump said to involve Russia. And one who said they were all lying.

https://www.politico.com/story/2018/10/15/robert-mueller-trump-midterms-897887

Trump is doing his part to elevate Mueller into the national dialogue in a bid to excite his own base amid fears that Republicans will lose their majority in the House and perhaps the Senate. The president’s team has made one of its central campaign arguments the prospect that a Democratic takeover in Congress would use the special counsel’s findings as a launching pad for impeachment proceedings. On Twitter, Trump has slammed the Mueller “witch hunt” nearly 50 times since the July Fourth holiday, and his “no collusion” riff is a recurring element of campaign rally speeches where Republican candidates are supposed to be the featured attraction.

and I wouldn't be at all suprised to learn that that meeting Trump and Rosenstein had on AF1 was designed to set the ground rules by which Muelller's report and its scope.

Personally, I wouldn't be at all suprised to learn that the Mueller report to Rosenstein would be limited to actions that Trump, personally, took. A report that is that limited could be easily buried and not made public and would allow Trump to continue to tout the "no collusion" claim because we wouldn't know the facts.

Also, I wouldn't be at all suprised that everyone else would be fair game for indictments, including the kids.

Muehler isn't close to being done, although a couple of sections may be nearly complete. For example, he is said to have opened an investigation into the manhatten DA's office, and another into whether actual vote tampering occurred. Those 2 are new and not complete by any means.

This has been a risk since the original and supplemental authorization memo's were issued. A new AG could issue a new scope memo saying what topics can be investigated, which witnesses can be interviewed, and when it will end. It can be completely gutted and stopped cold. A doctored report absolving trump could be cooked up.

He may have sealed indictments he already has authorization to release at his discretion. Hell, he may already have authorization to release his findings at will.

He could also petition a court to release the report, or stay any limits on his work on grounds it's a further obstruction of justice (wonder how kav would vote on the appeal to that).

My guess is this will end up a shooting war, with us as the recipients. Certain elements would love a civil war rematch. Putin among them.

Their argument to their base is that if the Dems take control of the House they'll immediately impeach Mushroom Dick doesn't make sense, if there actually was #NOCOLLUSION. You can't just impeach out of thin air, no matter what the GOP did to Clinton. Plus, you've got to get 60 votes to convict in the Senate, and we're not going to get that. We've got better things to do with our time, like protecting Medicare, Medicare and Social Security, instituting real election finance reform, cutting middle class taxes and raising them on the rich, protecting public lands from exploitation, and reinstating the regulations that Trumpistas have been chucking out left and right.

And then there needs to be a law prohibiting Trump from repainting Air Force One to reflect his ego.

I have always felt Mueller was going to wait for the DEMS to take either the house or senate because he felt that was the best way to fairly provide a report.

Had he given the reports to just Republicans, they would have sealed it up in a vault and told Dems they would be prosecuted if they leaked any part of this.

Mueller (unlike Comey) is following DoJ guidelines to not influence an election in the weeks prior. He went silent in Sept. and not a peep from him or his office since then.

Come the morning of 07 November? Look out!

My guess, and hope, is that he has new indictments sitting in his office safe just waiting for that morning, all aimed at Trump Jr. Eric Prince, Roger Stone, Carter Page, Sessions, Giuliani, Mariia Butina, the NRA, Bannon, Clovis, Schmitz and more.

I think based on what we've seen with Cohen, Gates, Flynn, Manafort etc., somebody's going to turn on the worm. Those sweetheart deals weren't for idle pillow-talk, they had to have the goods and be willing to testify.
