Republican Senate candidate apologizes after swastika spotted in campaign ad

Source: The Hill

Michigan Republican Senate nominee John James apologized Tuesday after opponents pointed out the brief appearance of a swastika in one of his campaign ads.

The Nazi symbol was pinned to a bulletin board in a school hallway featured in the ad.

“I need to fess up and admit this was a terrible error on our part,” James said at a press conference Tuesday, according to The Daily Beast.

“We should have caught this error, and we didn’t, and there’s no excuse. I’m responsible for everything that our team does and fails to do, and I will do everything in my power to make sure this never, ever happens again.”

I have no words for a person of color allowing such an error to "slip by". iluvtennis Oct 2018 #1

And he doesn't know who the proud boys are, like the NYS governor candidate.

This is the process.

We're horrified.

We're moderately upset.

Well, we're not all that upset, and there's nothing really wrong with the swastika.

Well, we don't give a fuck. The swastika represents who we are.

Oh, what the hell, we're fascists and proud of it.

And, while we're at it, we're better fascists than the Germans were in the 1920s until 1945.

We're going to create the thousand year reich right here in the US.

Well, fuck you. This is who you are. The reason you didn't catch it is because you and your followers think there's no problem with it.

Hate and white supremacy are not cool no matter where you're from, and Trump is just giving these assholes an excuse.

It was either James or Kid Rock or Ped Nugent.

i.e. a semi-well hidden and intentional message meant to appeal to certain people without (so they hope) being noticed by others.

I don't believe he did it. But the team that surrounds him are the type that would. He attacked Stabenows campaign for commenting on it. So it wasn't a real apology. He does have a nice smile though.
