Michelle Obama: George W. Bush is 'my partner in crime' and 'I love him to death'

Source: USATODAY

Former first lady Michelle Obama said Thursday that ex-President George W. Bush has become her "partner in crime" after years of sitting together at official events.

"President Bush and I are forever seatmates because of protocol – that's how we sit at all the official functions," Obama said on NBC's "Today" show. "So he is my partner in crime at every major thing where all the formers gather. I love him to death," Obama added. "He's a wonderful man. He's a funny man."

Obama expressed her affection for Bush after being asked about the moment when Bush handed her a cough drop at the Sept. 1 funeral of the late Arizona Republican Sen. John McCain. The moment, which happened at the National Cathedral in Washington, went viral on social media. Bush was handing a cough drop to his wife, Laura, when Obama leaned over and asked him if she could have one too. She said she didn't realize that anyone was watching the "simple gesture."

"And I will add that they were old cough drops," Obama said, describing them as being in an official White House box. "And I was like, 'How long have you had these?' They said, 'A long time. We got a lot of these.' " Obama, a Democrat, said her friendship with Bush, a Republican, defies labels. "Party doesn't separate us," she said. "Color, gender, those sort of things don't separate us."

Lots of laughs. It gave a huge boost to the right wing crazies machine.

George Bush is lots of laughs until you are the butt of the jokes or you personally suffer from his lobbying tout his frat brother on the Supreme Court, or a bomb obliterates your family in Iraq.

We and the world paid heavily for the vote stealing in Florida and the machinations by the Bushes which resulted in GW Bush and Dick Cheney being installed in the White House by the 2000 Supreme Court decision-a partisan decision.

GW also "normalized" Putin as a fellow Christian.

Without that Bush family/ Republican election corruption I don't believe there would ever have been Candidate Trump in 2016. Kavanaugh has been a fixer for Bush

George Herbert Walker Bush nominated the unqualified Clarence Thomas to the Supreme Court.

Refusal to impeach that man for torture corrupted the soul of the nation.

It feels like a betrayal that Michelle Obama is so friendly with W, after all his dirty tricks, lies and carnage. He worked with Karl Rove to win the primary (and slandered John McCain); he was complicit in stealing the Presidential election from Al Gore, the true winner; he passed several rounds of tax cuts for people like himself; he ignored warnings about terrorist attacks prior to 9/11; he lied about Iraq and WMD, to sell the Iraq War/invasion to the American people; he destroyed our economy by starting a long, drawn out war that wasn’t paid for; and other reasons I can’t think of right now. Even if he is funny, Michelle doesn’t have to fawn over him. He’s still a rich, privileged guy who had his life handed to him on a silver platter. It doesn’t look good for Democrats to flirt with the enemy.

I'm glad they are all enjoying their little insiders club and pretending that all that is wrong is a lack of "sanity" or "civility" or whatever.

What is wrong is that the Republican party (War Criminal George W. Bush included) have been allowed to rot and fester and morph into the institution of hate and intolerance it ended up at today and which started during Mr. Bush's tenure (and I might add enabled by President Obama's obsession with all things bipartisan). Pointing out how much more rational and civil we are than them is not going to do a goddamned fucking thing to fix this problem.

* What about he election shenanigans and coup de tat at the ballot box..

* What about his military junta where bush/Cheney hijacked the mighty American war machine to pilfer and rape the US Treasury for self enrichment ?

* What about the war crimes committed ? Have you forgotten the torture done in our name ?

* We can not normalized that unfit, inarticulate, down right idiotic asswipe criminals are winning electoral contests and being seated in the Oval Office.

The more we normalize this - the further and further we slip down the slippery slope - Idiocracy is breathing down our neck like a fire breathing dragon. We must address and confront these issues of criminality in our White House or it will only get worse and worse. There is no making a mistake and then starting fresh. These Fascist are picking up where they left off and taking us deeper and deeper into the abyss of a Fascistic Hyper-Capitalist Theocracy.

Nixon got away, Reagan got away, Bush I got away, Bush II/Cheney got away, will trDump slip off and get away too with out our addressing and his team answering for their crimes against the USA ?

Do you notice a pattern here - they are getting progressively stupider and stupider - vacant, mindless, and Hyper Fascist Capitalist gluttonous fools. We must put our foot down and end this cycle of political debasement.

What was once considered shamefully abnormal and atrocious political conduct or behavior is openly allowed, a common every day occurrence, and normalized as acceptable as if to be expected. Bullshit we are better than this - it is our obligation to strive for higher ideals. Not get down in the muck and the mud as we scrape the bottom of the barrel looking for human and intellectual enlightenments in some rancid swill tank full of the rejects and failures of humanity.

TrDump is not the cream of the crop or 'la creme de la creme - by a long shot. This mad man must be stopped from bringing damage to America and finally made to answer for his long string of criminal conduct.

We must stop exhalting down right idiots and then crowning them our leaders and Kings. They are only imposters, they are charlatans, and they are a royal pain in the ass - they only seek to debase America for the personal gain of their criminal syndicates.

__________

Debase definition is - to lower in status, esteem, quality, or character, to reduce in quality or value; adulterate, is the process of spoiling something or reducing its value by combining it with another material (such as justice/blurred by criminality), to take part in debauched or otherwise immoral behavior.
