Sen. Angus King Bashes Trump Over Ford Mockery: 'Dividing Us Into Tribes' of Men Against Women

Source: Mediate

On Wednesday, Senator Angus King (I-ME) accused Donald Trump of fanning the flames of political tribalism by attacking Christine Ford over her sexual misconduct claims.

-snip-

“I don’t know what to say,” King said. “I think Jeff Flake [calling it] ‘appalling’ is an appropriate adjective.”

King continued by defending Ford’s testimony from her senate appearance last week, and also bashing Trump for mischaracterizing and dismissing her claims.

“To mock her last night like the President did, he’s dividing us into tribes and last night was the most basic tribe of all: men and women,” King said. “He’s trying to set us against each other. Let’s try to get to the bottom of the facts, but what he did last night doesn’t contribute to that pursuit at all.”

It is decent people against people with no moral standard of decency. If you don't think any women would side with Kav, listen to some of them who are in Trump's thrall.

It wasn't dividing peopl into tribes of men and women. I'm sure most American don't think sexual assault survivors deserve any mockery.

There were plenty of women in the pictures from Mississippi who were laughing and cheering too. It was divisive, but the division was between Trumps 'Christian patriots' who seem to despise women and the rest of the world.

I'm not American, just an outside observer, who - like most of the rest of the world - is watching the USA descend into oblivion with a mixture of disbelief and horror.

And the fact that it is from the so called “Christians” makes it even worse. I don’t know how they think they are moral. The Jesus of their bible if he was real would chase them from the temple.

Lawrence O'Donnell did not give tRump an inch or to discredit his programme. tRump is just an vile evil whatever he is.

I'm just sick of him and what he's doing to all of us, to take us down his sick path of paranoia.

Why would any Republican Senator vote for his candidate? If they do they to are accepting the victims are to blame , and the attackers should be protected instead of the victims. They have no place in OUR government any more , and need to be ousted ASAP.
