Lawyer Michael Avenatti told the Senate Judiciary Committee late Sunday that he has multiple witnesses who can say Brett Kavanaugh participated in gang rapes of drunken women during high school.
We are aware of significant evidence of multiple house parties in the Washington, D.C. area during the early 1980s during which Brett Kavanaugh, Mark Judge and others would participate in the targeting of women with alcohol/drugs in order to allow a train of men to subsequently gang rape them, Avenatti said in an email to Mike Davis, chief counsel for nominations for the Senate Judiciary Committee.
Avenatti did not disclose any details or identities of his witnesses.
Avenatti, who made a name for himself as porn star Stormy Daniels lawyer, aired the allegations Sunday night as another allegation against Kavanaugh emerged in The New Yorker.
Judge, Kavanaughs high school friend, has previously denied that any sexual misconduct took place.
Avenatti hinted at the nature of his allegations when he suggested to the Senate Judiciary Committee a series of questions to ask Kavanaugh.
One of his questions: Did you ever target one or more women for sex or rape at a house party? Did you ever assist Mark Judge or others in doing so?
Also, Avenatti suggested asking Kavanaugh: Did you ever attend any house party during which a woman was gang raped or used for sex by multiple men?
And: Did you ever witness a line of men outside a bedroom at any house party where you understood a woman was in the bedroom being raped or taken advantage of?
Avenatti also said Kavanaugh should be asked if he ever tried to prevent men from raping or taking advantage of women at any house party.
The new allegations follow the claims of Christine Blasey Ford, who claims that Kavanaugh attempted to rape her at a high school party.
Ford, who was 15 at the time, told the Washington Post that then-17-year-old Kavanaugh pushed her into a bedroom, groped her and tried to pull off her clothes while covering her mouth with his hand so she couldnt scream.
I thought he might inadvertently kill me, she said. He was trying to attack me and remove my clothing.
Kavanaugh has denied Fords allegations.
I categorically and unequivocally deny this allegation, he said in a statement distributed by the White House. I did not do this back in high school or at any time.
Late Sunday, Deborah Ramirez told the New Yorker that Kavanaugh had exposed himself to her at a dorm party when they were both at Yale.
She said Kavanaugh thrust his penis in her face, and caused her to touch it without her consent as she pushed him away.
Brett was laughing, she told the magazine. I can still see his face, and his hips coming forward, like when you pull up your pants.
Kavanaugh also denied Ramirezs accusations.

Thank you, Mr. Avenatti and the brave women and men breaking silence.

Another point: What aren't there more men vocal in their support, like Avenatti?
I know they didn't have Avenatti's and Ronan Farrow's info at first but the info is out there now. So, why aren't a proportionate number men standing side-by-side with the women protesting this? Am I missing something?

What a nasty man to be a judge.
why do you think they were rushing this through? There is plenty more dirt that the GOP covered up.
Putting a monster on the court justifies the means.

Thanks for the info., KSNY.
Does anyone really think this is the way to go for a Justice? Remember, these Republicans supporting this guy are the same ones who fainted, shrieked, howled, tore the drapes, and went mad over Bill Clinton's dalliance with the intern.

(81,220 posts)Thats quite different from a 15-year-old victim assaulted against her will by two drunken assailants trying to take various levels of advantage. Monica Lewinsky was 22 or 23 at the time, and a willing participant.
Thats a BIG difference.

(11,885 posts)On kavanaugh showing he's a sex predator , a liar , and corrupt. Its coming and they can't stop it now, and will fully expose him and them , because they already knew everything about him , and still backed him knowing all this. Mid Terms are going to be even better now , and the Senate will be retaken by the Democrats now. An FBI investigation will be damming for the republicans , and guess what they'll do as soon as they retake both houses of Congress. They'll expose the kgop also for their help in his cover up , and for helping putin and trump too. trump and the kgop are in deep deep trouble now, and the longer they hang onto kavanaugh before he's forced away, the more damage they'll do to their party's chances of holding onto the Senate. They'll be a lot more on kavanaugh to come out showing him to be very corrupt, and he will get charged and exposed even more. kavanaugh's done.

The post wondering if Mark Judge was an accomplice rather than just a drunk onlooker appears precient now.

(11,885 posts)Every woman out there who hasn't come forward with information against kavanaugh , should go now and get Mr. Avenatti to help get it out there against him now. He's doing a remarkable job for women, and he needs more support from those who've been wronged by him now. They should help prevent this monster from ever getting onto the Supreme Court, and shouldn't be allowed to sit and judge anyone else. Charges against him should be filed locally to start one at once against him.

My God, with a young daughter in college it's so hard for me to believe these prestigious schools are so lax in their controls to keep these frats in check and these types of sexual predators from attending their schools. Admitting them only mars their image.

(20,174 posts)I'd like to remind everyone that the term "date rape" wasn't really out there yet and, at the time, if a female was drunk and a guy fucked her, it wasn't considered rape unless she was UNCONSCIOUS. Even then, good luck finding a DA who would prosecute. The laws have changed regarding intoxication and consent, but many people's attitudes have not. Just look at this lovely scene from Sixteen Candles (1984). We thought this was FUNNY.
Ted ends up having sex with drunk Caroline, off camera, but no worries. She thinks she enjoyed it.
THIS SHIT HAPPENED ALL THE TIME!!!
