Christopher Lawford, an actor and the nephew of President John F. Kennedy, died Tuesday after suffering a medical emergency at a yoga studio, TMZ reports. He was 63.

Lawford was the oldest of four children born to British actor and Rat Pack member Peter Lawford and Patricia Kennedy, the younger sister of JFK.
He embarked on an acting career in the late 80s, and appeared in TV shows like General Hospital, Frasier, The O.C. and All My Children, with his final role coming in the 2008 drama Eavesdrop.

The actor previously worked with the Democratic National Committee as well as for his uncle, Sen. Ted Kennedy. He graduated Boston College Law School in 1983, and obtained a masters certificate in clinical psychology from Harvard University.

(21,137 posts)He looked so much like his father. But sadly hard drug abuse even at a young age leads to early deaths. I know about three people who were heavy cocaine users in the 70s and 80s and one died young and one had a stroke and the other a heart attack in their fifties.

(37,648 posts)He resembled his father, for sure. The article says he had a prior addiction problem, but that he'd been clean for 3 decades or something. His father had a problem with drugs, too, I think. And alcohol.
